That aside, "take forever to finish" would seem to disqualify as an auto.

I'm not sure you are understanding what actually defines an "auto". Photoperiod plants only begin to flower when the day length gets shorter (I believe 14 hours per day is often the initiator), which is mimicked indoors by cutting the lights on from 18 to 12 hours. Autoflowering are not light sensitive for initiating flower, and regardless of whether you run them 12/12 or 24/0 they will begin to flower at a preset 'internal' time. That's a quick definition, but they function under different paradigms, and plants are one or the other.

That is what had me curious. And I did find Super Autos but might as well go with Photos.

While it does not literally disqualify it, it does sort of defeat the purpose in terms of why so many people choose autos, which I believe is where this thread was going.
In OGS's Amnesia Hashplant description they say:
In fact, its difficult to grow indoors because its hard to keep it from going into flower. It contains lots of northern outdoor/landrace genetics on its father’s side, and has been acclimatized for decades to northern outdoor climates. So its extremly sensitive to changes in photoperiod.
I can see why that is confusing, it almost sounds like they crossed it with Ruderalis (auto) genetics, but they don't go as far as to say that. I do think that outdoors the days don't have to shorten as much to trigger this plant into flower, so it might start in early August while other/normal photos won't start until late August, which is why it is seasonally considered "fast flowering".

I was looking Herbies Seed says they have them.
They have Gorilla Glue. I checked reviews and one picture showed a nice Cola but the Buds looked loose. Nothing wrong with that but it would effect weight.
I was checking their Photos and they were saying 30% THC. Seemed a little high.

Sounds like a semi auto strain not a true auto or super auto to me a super auto is just an auto thats bigger and it takes a lil longer in veg but it will still flower regardless of photoperiod well a semi auto is a strain thats a photo but extremely photo sensitive rather than actual auto they flower when hours just start to drop its about the only type of photo strain that will finish far north like say where im at Scotland or say further sweden or whatever several landrace strains are like this by default like say morrocan stuff alot of middle eastern stuff too also like Egyptian or Sudanese as well there will be loads more examples anyway many find it hard to keep semi autos in veg indoors as the slightest drop in light or if the roots are outta space or if its stressed then they go into bloom fast its possible to keep them as cuttings indoors just a bit more tricky vs normal full on photo strains

i think it was that jared guy, the winter frost dude, in an interview....think i saw it over the past week or two.
i think they are just FAST which is that less darkness triggers flower, so you can drop them out a month or two early to grab a late or mid summer harvest. it might work better than normal photos at some latitudes.

Fast versions are only fast in the f1 tho thats why there all a f1 of a photo x to an auto you could work it further into a auto if it was reg seeds but for this reason most fast versions are sold as fems only breeders like sweet seeds and a bunch of folks been doing it for ages
