Thanks, yes I decarb my weed before I make my RSO for my capsules . I’ve tried bubble hash & that was a messy business! I’m thinking of trying the dry ice ….but the ‘Long Covid’ got in my way of learning anything. I’ve been practically a vegetable this last 9+ months with this nasty stuff. But, now that I’m better, i may try. The RSO is pretty simple so I’ve been just making it with about 2 ounces of weed. It makes about 2 weeks of capsules at a time with a little more than a day’s work, so not too bad to get some needed sleep. I didn’t sleep a full night’s sleep for almost 30 years before I started using hash, so it’s a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow for me .Do you decarboxylate the hash that goes into the capsules? If not look it up, it could save you a ton of hash, making those .30 go a lot further.
my Nana was a hippie and smoked so so much hash, she said they couldn’t really get weed very much in the U.K. it was all solid
What about drying, does it need to be perfectly dried for vaping? This is great news though, I was terrified of getting the cure wrong. I'll still do it, just won't sweat it now.Curing is optional when vaping and I always leave sugar leaves if they are sugared.
Flavour and smoothness too. Quick dry some bud and do a decent cure on the rest and compare the two. Big difference if you do a decent cure.So all the benefits of curing are basically for combustion?

Alright you've talked me into a cure. Although it definitely wasn't done at 14 days at a steady 60% rh. It's been 17 so far & stems still bendingFor drying, if you set the rh at 60 it ll be done in 10-14 days. Smooth and all for vaping. Curing it is even better.
I cut a mimosa cake last week and accidentally left the drying box in the grow room where the humidity was 40%. Smoke is harsh after a few tokes vaping, even at 355. Tasty af though
Flavor & smoothness, check. How about the high/medicinal quality?Flavour and smoothness too. Quick dry some bud and do a decent cure on the rest and compare the two. Big difference if you do a decent cure.
The longer it takes to dry the better the cure. I put my fresh off the plant trimmed buds into doubled paper bags to dry in my cool basement for up to 5 weeks and are still moist when I start burping them when I want great smoke.Alright you've talked me into a cure. That doesn't really change. Slow dry and cure gets rid of a lot of the chlorophyll and time for the starches to break down into simple sugars which takes the harshness out of it. Also matures the smells/flavours like aging a whiskey or wine.Flavor & smoothness, check. How about the high/medicinal quality?
It totally depends on the temperature/humidity relationship, I can go 21 days sometimes at 16c/62%. The colder the better, especially for vaping where such emphasis is put on the terpenes. Volatile compounds can evaporate far below their boiling point, and oxidation occurs more rapidly when there is too much air movement. So drying in boxes/bags can certainly be advantageousAlright you've talked me into a cure. Although it definitely wasn't done at 14 days at a steady 60% rh. It's been 17 so far & stems still bending
Vaping is a myth just like curingWhat about drying, does it need to be perfectly dried for vaping? This is great news though, I was terrified of getting the cure wrong. I'll still do it, just won't sweat it now.

So I guess that I'm a freak then because I get higher with fire lolVaping is a superior experience
Same here. But I like vaping too. Vaping is tastier but different. I would describe the high as more energetic vaping vs smoking. Higher vape temps makes it hit deeper and more like combustion. I try to get it right in the middle so the vaped weed looks kinda tanish green. I can get huge clouds and tasty satisfying hits with my desktop vape held like a lighter to a wand or chillum. What's nice is if I'm use to only vaping I can take a bong hit and it kicks my ass,So I guess that I'm a freak then because I get higher with fire lol
I thought vaping sucked until I got a SSV. I do direct draw with them so no tube and shit. Never had live resin but I would imagine that tastes closer to vaping if you dab it. That's totally just a guess though.Limited experience with vaping but I do like the flavor and I chocked the high up to my tolerance and the wanting it to blow my mind and it just didn't happen that way for me so not curing it would it then be like the stuff they are calling live resin?
