Hermy..was it my fault or just genetics?

This starts 2 weeks before Thanksgiving, I have 3 plants in Veg, once in flowering for 2 weeks. The plant in flowering appears all female at first and growing like a beast, like twice the size of the other two all germed together.

With the plant growing so fast and it appearing female at this point, I clone it twice. This is my first clone so I wanted to get in there and toy with it, only my 2nd full grow now.

Fast forwarding a bit now, I had to go out of town for 1 week for Thanksgiving week. I come back and the top of the plant has grown into my lights and burned the top flowers and leaves of the plant. A few days after that I start to notice some male ball clusters (maybe half of the nodes).

My question is, is this hermaphrodite my fault, is it just genetics? Is there any reason to save these clones or should I toss em? I'm starting to think I got a bad batch of seeds. So far haven't had one plant stay female past a month in flowers. I realllize I am a newbie and probably stressing the plants more than the average grower, but I already harvested a good batch from some bagseed, now the good seeds I can't keep unhermed?

Sometimes its just the way it goes dude, most of us have been there or its down to strees, but even plants can be gay.

Yeah i could sit here and point out all the things that could have attributed
to it goin hermie. Stress, genetics, poor growing conditions etc but theres
not much you can do except try again next time, do something different,
get better seeds, better equipment, all depends really. Ive heard, HEARD of
people attempting to pick the male parts of a hermie plant off, but idk if this
would be good or if it would stress the plant even more. Good luck :blsmoke:

If you wanna just say fuck it and dont have room to seclude a hermie,
or even after you secluding attempts your non hermie females happen
to get pollinated anyway, then just smoke some hermie weed.
Im sure you've run across some before. The nasty shit you break apart
and a million seeds fall out  Sure it smokes but sifting through thousands
of seeds gets tiresome. Swim says hermie weed has reduced potency also.
