Flushing before harvest is Bro Science!

Let me explain...
Only when they're ready do i give them water 3-4 days then chop them.

The nutrient traveling around the plants system cannot evaporate, the water evaporates leaving mineral behind, 4 days of water appears to be enough time for the plant have used up what was present in its vascular system.

Cool then. I guess I flush my plants every 3-4 days then.

Plant sap, testing its ec at various stages.
There are a lot of things that could cause this beyond "nutrient residue." What those things are, I'm unsure of because I'm just a lowly larf cultivator. That's why I brought up having it analyzed in a lab.

Yes, if it didn't reflect the same ec I'd be less inclined to use it as a guide.
However the sap reflects the ec to the 0.1

Ok, I'm just trying to understand you logic. The Sap = the nutrients present in the buds.
Does that wand show what exactly there is in the sap, or just that there is stuff in the Sap?
The truncheon measures a range from 0.2 to 2.8 iirc, when it got below 100 ppm i started using a water quality tester it measures down to 20 ppm.
