First attempt at home made onion rings this evening, wish me luck. Picked up some sweet onions because I read they would be good that way. Have to keep them in the fridge, they don't last like regular ones.
I was that guy that made em at A&W.
Chilled onions
Sliced quickly & dredged in egg wash.
Shake in flour, salt, pepper + a dash of msg
Fry untill golden brown

rkymtnman and raratt, et al, you guys r probly right, it's a choc shake, i didn't
see the larger images. Still it's not the right application, and color's bad for
a choc shake, besides, application-wise, do you dip fries in a shake? Blech!

I would call it a success, a simple batter that is supposed to be a copy of Long John Silvers. I added a tsp of Emeril's Cajun spice mix, should have added more.

Korean BBQ chicken with stir fry veggies over rice.

3 egg ham and cheese omelet with sourdough toast.
I'm all caught up now.
