the local ones nowadays seemed to be aimed at poor people. Really sketchy quality and like 2 large sardines in the tin... used to be like 5 or 6 small ones when I was young. Still seems weird that you can eat them bones and all like that... but probably why they have the ThiaminASE thing.

Do you ever look at a piece of wood and think “hey that would make a nice spoon“? Me neither. Till today, was taking apart an old veg closet, t8 lights hanging on it baked that wood for years.

Cut, sanded, oiled, burnished, burned, sanded, oiled, rubbed, burnished:

When I hold it I get this urge to stick it into a large clay bowl and scoop up some chunky stew. Some day on a boring afternoon I’ll create a fork…
Real nice spalting in that wood..

Felt so bad this weekend, coughing and sneezing and producing enough snot to fill a bucket…turned out to be just a really bad cold. Which called for some hot soup. So got sone basic tomatosoup, added the following:

- s&p
- garlic
- cardemom
- chilli
- cayenne
- hot bellpepper
- extra hot sriracha
- oregano+basil

Needless to say that cleared the sinusses but tasted so good it’s going to be a common soup this winter.
Same here.
But this is my medicine of choice:

Also made some chicken soup with orzo yesterday.
Sure sign Fall has arrived.

Looks like a fine med pack. Licor 43, Bailey's and Belgium Tripels are my poison medicine.

Man, if shipping wasn't so expensive these days I'd sent you a bottle of Sonnema Berenburg. Treating colds since 1860.
