What is the EC or PPMs of your well water? Anyone with well water should have it tested, a low PH with a low EC should be fine. It's usually hard water with a high PH that is best to thin out with RO. Sometimes well water has too much iron, best to have it tested and post the results.
If you just transplanted to 5 gal pots, then all I would do is follow the new growth to see if the problem continues.
You should be specific about what you added, I'd add nothing except some perlite but hopefully slightly amended ffof doesn't cause a problem.
Distilled is expensive, if you can't use well water use ro with a small dose of cal mag.
It might be necrotic spots from a lack of calcium in the distilled water, but it would only be a guess because the amendments added might be causing the issue.
