Mixing light

When in flowering do you need to have any blue spectrum light, or can you do with just red.
I already have 3 30watt cfls which i will use inbetween a few plant, 2 11w cfl flat lights on the side, 4 hanging 23w cfls on movable frame, and am now buying a 600w sodium light system. all cfls are 2700k, and the area is a sealed unit cooled by a 16inch fan.

you could technically flower with just Cfls. Ive seen many ppl do that. Or you can use both cfls and Hps, which is what im doing. More light the better.

To enable the plant to express it's fullest 'genetic integrity' ie grown out as close to its natural environment as possible within a confines of an indoor grow, you ought to have a mix of red spectrum light and blue spectrum light at about a 2-1, 3-1 ratio.

This mimics, as closely as possible the type of light the plant would likely to encounter in nature. If you're not to bothered about growing 'naturally' or 'organically' just flower them with red spectrum light, but the results won't be as good as if you did so with mixed spectrum lighting.

i used 125w envirolite blue spectrum for side light with same red at top and my plants started leaning towards the blue 1....it looked like it was overpowering the red light.

you said "sealed" unit ...does this mean no air vets? fresh air intake ?? mabey not...but if so ...when u buy an HPS you have to keep in mind it is alot hotter then your cfl's....just a thought
