The leaves turn light into energy is the short answer (photosynthesis)
I don't believe the plant really feeds the leaves, but I could be wrong. Either way more leaves = more energy for the plant to grow.

That being said the leaves down the bottom aren't going to get much ligh and won't produce much. Outdoors is a little bit of a difference story tho.
If you are new to growing I would recommend only stripping maybe the bottom 3rd of the plant, and maybe a couple leaves here and there if its crammed and their fighting for space. Untill you've done a couple and feel like experimenting.

There's nothing wrong with being new and not knowing everything. No one here knows everything though some know way more than others. But being at least a little bit humble and being able to take comments and advice with some grace (even when they're somewhat caustic in delivery). Also.READ.THE.ROOM. There's years worth of RIU available online to see how people here talk. Acting like you're surprised at how people interact here is kind of lame. Everyone takes their hits along with the advice. It is the internet, after all.

My thought is that the leaves are the 'powerhouse' or solar panels for the plant. I keep as many around as possible to keep the photosynthetic process as close to maximal as possible. Also, the leaves have another function...storing nutrients. Sometimes no matter how good things are going, they can head south due to deficiencies, etc. Having more leaves means the plants have more stored nutrients to provide should they need. It's an extra buffer that may help you get your plant across the finish line if there's any issues.

That all said, I do top, snip strategically to keep bud-sites in direct light and clean out enough space underneath to be able to water and see what's going on under the plants. I top to promote even flat growth.

I read that at a certain point its a waste of plant energy trying to feed too many leafs when she is sending most energy to flower production it is a balance that I obviously haven't mastered since I did go a lil overboard and it's most evident on my 2 tops the one I left more leafs on is thicker than the other that I stripped naked next time I will leave a few more not that many more but a few cause too many block light penetration

If you have more leaves it will grow better yes. You have this backwards. The leaves energize the plant. You are not waiting energy on leaves. They create it.

This is my 1st photo I've done 3 auto runs so yeah I was just trying it out since I've seen good results from others
Yeah I get whole photosynthesis but in some reading I found a common factor they say less leaf at end will let sun hit buds and all the other stuff I said I guess ima leave that for the pros till I level up

That makes alot of sense how leafs can b a back up of nutes if things go south thanks for the knowledge I'm definitely gonna implement these things yall teaching me n I'll post next run currently I got 2 stardawg clones 1chemdawg clone and 1 tropicana cookies clone I'll try this stuff out on dem n will post pic

It's okay to clone a flowering plant but you need to give it time and appropriate lighting so it reveges
