Hi . I'm new to the forum. Been growing off and on for years. But never really stayed solid in it. I have a green house now. And I'm currently building a winter setup. I have 2 really nice ak-48 ladies. Huge buds. And lots of them I imagine I'll get a pound from each at least. But. This weekend is 11 weeks of flowering. And they still have zero amber trichs. I started flushing a week ago cause it's getting time. I have a gdpurps that's on week 7 already starting to get Amber trichoms . What am I missing. Is this plant not gunna show its peak. I'm worried. Cause they are the nicest plants

Its still got some white hairs coming out so its got some time left. It just is what it is. Not sure what else to tell you. Of course you can harvest now but it just wont be as good. And yeah this is one of the many reasons you shouldn't "flush".

Why no flush? I thought everyone was flushing
Certainly not everyone. The search function is your friend. There are some loooong dedicated threads specifically about it (that always get out of hand btw).

The real question isn't why not, but why do it in the first place? What are you trying to acheive? What are the perceived benefits? And does that that make sense and jive with plant biology?

:weed: Flush may be less than optimal if you are growing organic
I might have missed your program?
What nutrients
Oh and welcome to RIU

Have a search around on this forum plenty of threads/people arguing about it.
I would say run an experiment of your own flushing 1 plant and not flushing another and make up yoir own mind.
Personally I don't flush I might give them 2 or 3 days sometimes. I can't tell a difference in taste from a week flush compaired to no flush but I do find the unflushed plants are a little better.

Thank you. I'm still trying to figure this platform out. Is there an app? But I'm using foxfarm newts and soil, And baby formula. In a green house at 8900 ft , so I have to have heaters and vents for humidity control. So far I have 10 plants. 5 plants are almost done. Have had zero issues with deficiencies, or disease. I purchased an old grow Bible from ebay. Just kinda been going off what I have read. But I will reconsider this flush thing. But in truth. I feel as if the soil gets saturated with un used nutrients. Via salt build ups and organics used as said food. Like the formula.

So I flushed my first plants and then my second batch I didn't. And I regret it. The weed I flushed is perfect. The weed I didn't flush gives us a headache.
Are they the same strain? What did they look like at harvest? Are you sure they were ready? Not flushing your weed will not cause you to get a headache.

I don't flush my weed and it hasn't given anyone a headache for the last 30 years. If you're getting a headache then something other than not flushing is the cause.
