How to stop Floraflex siphon issue?

Hey Guys,

I'm wondering if anyone else has a solution to the Floraflex siphon issue that's seen in the video below. I want to refrain from poking a hole in my line. Is there another option to cure this issue? I ran into this problem on my last run while using a 5 gallon bucket. Glad to know I am not alone, but still an annoying issue to have when you're trying to dial everything in.

Thank you! I figured that's what I needed but just wanted confirmation.

Not my setup. That's a Floraflex video made by them. My bucket is outside the tent and on the floor.

What size is your line coming from your pump?

5/8ths line about 3 or so feet long from the pump to the bubbler head.

Get a 5/8 T splitter, add it to your main line, then add a 5/8 one way check valve to that T

As soon as the pump turn off it’ll suck in air and break the syphon instantly. I run a 12 site, with 12 individual pumps and have a check valve on each line and never had a syphon since I installed them

Sounds like the check valve would have one end exposed and the other would go into the t fitting? I think I got it for now, just never seen it used in that way before.

No. You’ll need to add a “T” then the one way check valve

Just thinking out lout here, but if I were to puncture a hole near the bottom of the bucket as you mentioned above, that same hole would be submerged in feed water, not instantly exposed to air. Would that interefere with stopping the water syphon?

The goal here is to place a small hole a few inches above the pump inside the bucket, still covered by feed water? Correct me if I am wrong. I beg you lol.

I found a check valve one on Ebay for my 5/8 line.
