I think everyone with a vault should put a pause on chasing the next high and pop a pack of whatever or pop 3 seeds of 4 different packs. See whatcha got in there (after all you bought that pack because it interested you) and hunt for your favorite flavors / highs. Even when you find and flower the pheno’s you don’t like, you still have smoke you can keep of pass on.

I know It is much easier to take a clone of Cookie Glue Hype #69 and just flower it rather than pheno hunting but with clones come problems many are not prepared to solve and you face possibility of losing your grow for multiple months.

Thank you for this, it means a lot. I’ll never grow out everything I have, but trying to at least skim the top and grow things that have been gifted to me along the way

Clone only hypes are for those who don’t wanna pheno hunt. That’s why the price is so high. Hell of a convenience fee. If I had an established op that was pushing Berner numbers. I’d drop 5k on a cut myself. Bush her out and massively close her out. Get a well over 5k harvest. I guess it just depends on how you look at spending money. And weather or not you wanna put the blood and tears into hunting your own. (Which in my opinion is far more rewarding)

5k for a cut? WTF? You can get clone only cuts for way cheaper than that. Or even free if you know people.

i have a feeling thai strain hybrids are gonna come into the spotlight for a bit. I think their floral nose, palette, and uplifting high will be a good contrast to some of the popular stuff going around now. will be interesting to see how breeders try to maintain all those qualities but shorten flower time and increase structure and density. Chocolope/D-Line was easily one of my favorite strains, so unique and enjoyable to grow and smoke. everybody was always like 'mmmmmm what is this???'

Nobody's going to take the time to do all that these days. You might see some F1 chucks. I've got several Thai hybrids I've made. There may be some outfit that will spend a couple years doing what you say but these days it's a race to get seeds out. You can't even call most of the outfits these days breeders. They're just making seeds.

yeah for sure, there's a lot of noise and mostly just chucking. but i think there's still people out there trying to create something that lasts and is remembered years later, like GSC. It'll happen again. I hope its with a thai heritage :)

Yep, it's a damn shame. Anyone can chuck pollen and label them F7 IBL. 90% of people will grow it and say it's fire too.

OGz are making noise in SoCal again … the nice ones move fast and get respectful tickets … the tide might be changing as prices tank… make real weed great again
