problem with QB288 connector

my light if finished, im declaring war on LM301 lights!

Now its not the most beautiful cable management, but if i wanted to make these things invisible, it would take me another week. Im very slow with these things. Now i only need to fit my 2 fans in the back.

I have concern about some connections where parts of the wire are naked. Cutting them in perfect lengh would have minimized the problem, but i dont wanna go through the pain and pulling everything out again. Can i just put a bit of transparent silicone on these joints or are there better solutions?

Personally I'd at least pull the ones in the wago put and trim to the right length.

can you resuse the connector once you pulled it out? Thought its a one-usetime connector.

edit: sorry, thought you meant the board connector. Yeah could do it on the wago, allthough its the one that shows the least amount of open cable. And even with a shorter wire its still no protection against water, if things go wrong and the exhaust fan fails.

Wagos have a lever, you lift it and the wire pulls out easily, same way you put them in

id really feel safe with some transparent silicone....downside is, it gets nasty once you have to change/rewire a component.

Everything you wired is dodgy and not safe, you really need to re-do it. Did you take photos of your AC wiring?

i soldered the Plug on the AC side..each pole has its own shrinktube and then a large shrinktube over it. Really didnt take any chances on the AC side, also the PSu will never be in the tent, the DC cable is 9 feet long. The DC side i turned into a cinch connector and build a a splitter, so i have some flexibility and can power each panel on its own. For the rest of the connections: i shorted the wago wires to a better lengh, for the rest i filled all naked spots with silicone. Hope im somewhat save now. I already made a heat-test to see if anything warms up too much but seems ok.

This was kind of an adventure for me and im proud it works, even if it doesnt look perfect. Plugging in the PSU gave me goosebumbs in the beginning...i destroyed 2 fans, they also had a cinch-connector and i accidently put the meanwell in it, now theyre dead but good for me the PSU didnt take damage.

yeah the board connections look annoying. Looking back, it would have been way more preofessional to measure the first one and then cut each following cable to exactly the right lengh. But pulling them out again with this fragile connectors i didnt wanna risk it. I learned that for next time, think it will work though.

by the way, if someones interested, temp maxed out at 48 C. at the front, pulling 262 watts. Maybe ill just leave the fans.

It's only 48v, doesn't worry me.

guys, i realized on 1 board the 4 "UV" diodes are darker/weaker than on the other boards. The temperature of the board is the same as the rest, so it doesnt seem to be an issue of unbalanced power delivery. Did they maybe use diodes with a slight different wavelengh? Doesnt really bother me, just curious if anybody experienced something like that?

guys can somebody tell me where to plug in the dimmer wires? Theres not + and - on the dimmer. i cant break or short anything when making a mistake here, can i? Forgive me im really an electronic noob.

IF you cant read, the left terminal is "Z1", the one on the right is "Z2" and the one in the middle looks like an arrow that points upwards. Whatever that means.

Thats a 100k potentiometer.
