HELP: Cuttings/Cloning help: Why do my cuttings keep doing this like a week in

About half my cuttings do this about 5-7 days in. Its done this with most strains I run too. I've done this in a bubble cloner and now I've started it rock wool and it does the same thing although less (this is my first run in rock wool cloning). The middle of the cuttings flower starts getting like yellow and then it gets worse like in the pic....

ANyone I'm fucking sick of this cutting shit..

- I cut at a 45 degree angle
- use rooting hormones
-18/6 light schedule with a 40 watt bulb 4 feet away not shinning directly on it.
- ppm of about 300 ( tap water is 175), when I was using straight tap water roots were not as thick.

Humidity dome and heating pad?

NO... But I've had luck with clones when the temp is high 60's and humidity was 45%... Now in the humidity dome in my 1st run of clones in the dome tray humidity is about 75% and temp is about 73 degrees....

That is from the clone being to moist on its leaves. So it rotted. Ive seen it many times. Dont mist the plants only the top of the dome. No vents for 3 days then vent the dome for 2 or 3 then take dome off...
I find this also,60-70% RH for 3-4 days then slowly open vents.Moisture builds right in the new growth, then add too much light and they look like OP pic.

Just IME ,Could be just the light?

This is how I do it as well. Slowly opening the vents, cuttings will let you know if you move to fast and wilt. Roots in 7-10 days depending on cultivar.

This^...mist dome not plants. Sometimes when your room RH is very low, you end up needing to mist the dome several times per day. I highly recommend treating cuttings with Southern Ag Garden friendly fungicide right when you take them, then you never have any fungal issues during the rooting process.

Stop messing around and get an aero-cloner. Clone king or a DIY aeroponic style cloners work great; 99% success rate and zero root hormone is needed. They really are worth trying an investment; you can sell/trade the extras. I have tried to root cuttings every way possible and can tell you they usually tend to look kinda sad before they propagate & begin to recover. Sure you can root cuttings in rockwool or even a cup of water but it takes longer w/lower success rate.
Some other tips for rooting cuttings include running 6500k fluorescent light (aka daylight full spectrum) 24 hrs a day. Cfls or long bar style fluorescents usually work well; keep them 12-18” away from canopy. 4ft seems way too far to me. No dark period is needed until they root. Without roots nothing can be absorbed by the plant so adding 300ppm of whatever does not really help even if you think it does. Ph adjusting the water is same kinda thing; don’t even bother. Doesn’t even matter how you cut as long as the cuts are sharp; use a razor.
Pro tip: use a recycle timer set to 1 min on 1 min off so the water and pump stays cool. Makes for faster rooting; should be getting roots in a week or so. Much longer than that usually means stems are rotting. Clones are only as healthy as the mother plant. A healthy lush green mama gives the clones enough N to get them through rooting.

Link to this aero cloner... I never used a razor, but my scissors are very sharp. Do you scrap off the side lower inch of the cutting to make it easier for roots to come through?
