First time, one autoflower plant grow help!

Hello,

First time grow...after many mistakes seed finally germinated and sprouted 3 days ago and looked fine and i could also see tiny true leafs.
Unfortunately its now looking very sad and also the leaves are closed.

Any tips?

I just watered her today first time since put in soil directly.
Temps: 25-27c
RH: 65-75%

Its a autoflower seed.

After checking it up it seems as you pointing out its damping off...it could be that for some time the humidity went up alot, also i used a plastic cup/dome for a very long time.

I assume there is nothing to do and just throw the plant and medium?

Will do…i give it one more day to see if there is any progress. The stem stil seems robust and i cannot see any weaking. However the plant dont grow more and the leave is closed still.

sad, cuz even ”something” its beter then Nothing :/

I see, i have only watered once since planted and that was yesterday when it looked so sad.

its my first grow and im using ”kit” from RQS called ”Igrowcan” and followed instruction.

i sure did leave the plastig cup/Dome for many days after they sprouted and even after it looked very Nice. I sure did more misstakes im sure

Id say KISS next time and you'll be fine. Grab a 4" pot. Fill it with a well draining medium of choice and water it to runoff before placing the seed. Luckily your temps and humidity are fine as it is, there no need for domes or intervention. If you want to get fancy, all you need to do is mix 5ml of 3% hydrogen peroxide with 100ml room temp water, soak the seed until it sinks and throw it 1/4" under the pre-prepared medium (watering after you bury the seed carries a risk of sinking). It will sprout and grow without interference. Will do fine for 14 or so days in the 4" pot.

I had far a far worse environment for this sprout (13 days old now) and it was 14-24c in the tent max and like 30-40% humidity, still no need for a dome. By the sounds of it you have good parameters, good luck next time.

ok, one more input before i stop crying bout this more :)
Today i just checked, yes the seedling had just under the soil level been cut of so it was basically just standing with support from the soil.
Very much looking like its damping when i check all the different symptoms on damping.

Also i was wondering wtf the white "dust" that looks like spider web is in the soil?
I guess this pot and soil need to be thrown away and not reused without proper cleaning?

White fuzz in the medium isn't always a bad thing...if I add organic matter to my mix (kelp, Neem etc), keep it warm and moist it will fuzz up all over the place. Does it look like this? If so, it's white mycelium. It's beneficial and helps break down organic matter.

It did look like that, also i germinated in a jiffy and then the jiffy in the pot with soil.
When i removed the jiffy of and the dead plant, between the jiffy and the soil it was alot of this white stuff and looked disgusting.


Anyway i throw away that soil and everything and now i did a new try with less interfere and hope it grow better this time.

Hold up, is that like a stainless steel cup? You’re gonna have a hard time transplanting that. Autos can have a more difficult time being transplanted. I would use a plastic pot or a solo cup to start in so you can remove the plant more easily.

Your correct, this one is not going to be transplanted and Will hopefully grow there all the time.

ive ordered bigger pots and if this one also fails i Will try to germinate in smaller cup and transplant when they do sprout and grow a bit. The seeds i have is auto seeds.

I’d think you will have a hard time in a pot smaller than 2Gallons for soil. I would wager most people are running autos in soil with 5 gallon containers.

another concern; does that metal container have drain holes?

Yes it has Holes in the buttom and the can and all was ”all in one kit”

Ah, that’s a cool little kit. I’m tracking now. Sorry you had a bad experience with it. I'm sure your next go will be better. I find larger pots at lot easier to manage than small ones. Best of luck.

No worries, i hope this time it will grow better and i will not interfere with it much
