I think thats a pretty solid plan! I've still yet to start my shelf yet either and I've got seed here any hour!

Well... I am sitting at the window waiting for the mailman to put a gift in my mailbox anytime now!!!

I think what I'm going to do is... thanks to your set up that inspired me to do this... is gonna build the shelf in my closet for upper half to accomidate up to 40 clones flowering and the lower will house the mothers and fresh clones cuttings... The flowering I'm going to use either 4"pots or 1gal grow bags... prolly pots... anyway, thats only taking up 5sqft and I can easily double that if I get another light and use the other half of it... And ready for this! IM GONNA USE SOIL! yup... said fuck the babysitting the hydro! Too much shit to deal with!

I think I'm gonna veg a few strains and see how they grow... I'll let the best 1 or 2 continue to veg and just flower the ones I'm not fond of after a few weeks and then cut clones a week or two later.

I'm gonna use FoxFarms Ocean Forest soil... think I can get away without nutes the first few weeks? I dunno shit about soil growing... I've only messed with hydro set ups my buddies had!

Power Plant - Flower Day 3
Day 17

Ok so I switched to 12/12 a couple days ago with them all at about 4" or so. I went ahead and transplated 6 of them to my 5" pots as well. My plan was to transplant them all but there just simply isn't enough room, I need to order those smaller pots cause I can't find any ones I want locally. Right when I find my 4 best females they'll be going right into my 7", 1.5 gallon pots.. but if I get more then 4 I might have to change up my plans a bit. :hump:

After I transplated I watered them all with a 1/3 cap full fish emulsions and 1 tablespoon liquid karma per gallon. I gave the ones in the cups 3/4 cups water each (like usual) and the ones in the pots the same.. just to get them going.

I'm sure other people do this too but when I transplant I make sure I have clean purified water to mix into the dirt before I transplant. Having damp soil is better for the roots to expand and search for water and recover faster, definately never want to overwater. I tend to give whatever plant I transplanted the exact same amount of water I would normally give it in whatever pot it was just in. I transplanted those guys exactly one day ago and there already recovered, in fact they recovered by the time the light came back on.

Well you might be able to see in my pics that the bottom leaves are basically all dead already.. and it's only day 17. Generally I would start to feed at about the beggining of week 2 but since this was a new strain I just wanted to see what she was about. I would say the first 2 weeks you won't need any fertz, but after that you will.

Yeah, it's just a Nitrogen defiency. On a couple of them they actually got burnt somehow (think MG perlite), but now need some fertz. Others seemed to use a lot more Nitrogen tho.. must be the widow in those ones.

yo just a hint, try keeping your buds in the fridge after youve let them dry some, just make sure that whatever container you use you double bag it so moisture doesnt get on the inside of the bag, frost over and then melt on your buds when you take it out...

but by doing this it will keep it all much "FRESHER" and GREENER - and you will be having more flavor with your vaporizor.

great job keep it up thanks for the pics!

I've heard hang drying in a plastic bag helps that too, maybe doing both would be double good. I don't really have that much weed to justify doing that with now but I might later to keep it fresher.. not sure how my roomies would like that tho.

Power Plant - Flower Day 5
Day 19

They all had a nice little growth spurt and are lookin great after the feeding. The ones in the cups are drinkin the water down pretty fast so I gotta water them cause there lookin dry and droopy already. There all about 6.5" except for the runt, I hope to start seeing some preflowers on a couple of them in the next few days. The real flowering date for these guys is technically when they show preflowers, at least in my mind it is.. which is why I tend to go another week or so after the standard flowering time.

Oh the last pic is of my cat, Cosmo. I stand up and he takes my place, he's usually watching me when i'm messin with my 'other' babies. :)

Little update.. have 1 confirmed female.. unfortantely it was one in a cup, but oh well. Probably showed quicker cause I didn't transplant her. I wanted to water them tonight but my roommates parents are here and I can't exactly go downstairs and fill up a pitcher of water. :?

I've also ordered some new seeds and they should be here next week. Bought 2 strains and got 3 freebie strains:

Heavy Duty Fruity (10 seeds)
Shiva (10 seeds)
Power Skunk (5 seeds)
Northern Lights (1 fem. seed)
Durban Poison (1 fem. seed)

Kinda stoked about that free NL seed, was the first strain I grew back when I was 16.. can't wait to grow it again. If anyone has ever grown Nirvana Shiva let me know, I wanted another strain but just couldn't decide so went with a random one. The description sounds pretty good:

Plant height: Medium- Indica/Sativa mix
Stoned or high?: Stoney yet high- Allround Buzz
THC level: Strong 15-20%
Flowering Weeks: 8/9
Yield : 400/500
Harvest Month: 9/10

This strain is named after Shiva, Hindu god of transformation. Shiva has genetics from India giving it a pungent Eastern spicy aroma. Shiva is a bushy plant with good yield and quality. Shiva is vigorous and pest resistant making it a good choice for the less experienced grower. Shiva has an exotic flavour and produces a heavy stone.

Power Plant - Flower Day 10
Day 24

I watered all of them yesterday with 1 gallon purified water and a mix of:

1 teaspoon Fish Emulsions
2 teaspoons Cal-mag supplement
2 teaspoons Liquid Karma

I'll probably switch over to flower nutes for my next feeding. Unfortantely I didn't start feeding the ones in the cups soon enough (only have seed starting soil) and there growth was kinda stunted/slowed but oh well.. 1 is a runt and another one is male anyways.

I've been able to sex 7/10 of them and so far I got 5 females. In the 3rd pic the 3 in front and the one in the middle back are all females (3 sativa phenos and the shortest indica pheno :D ). The tallest and most robust plant in the back right i'm 98.2% sure it's a male and I think i'll use his pollen to get some seeds.. wish it wasn't so damn tall tho. As for the ones in the cups I have 1 female, 1 male, 1 runt, and 1 unknown. Chances are i'm gonna kill them all but I dunno.. if I have room i'll keep like 2 of the 5 inch pots in there with my other 7 inchers.

If anyone has some questions or comments let me know.

I now have 7 confirmed females, 2 males, and 1 unknown. Still waiting on that last one in the square pot to show. From now it should take about 7 weeks (hopefully) for the indicas and up to 9 weeks for the sativa phenos to finish.

Power Plant - Flower Day 14
Day 28

I just got finished watering them with 1 gallon purified water and a mix of:

1.5 tablespoons PBP Bloom for Soil (1.5-4-5)
2 teaspoons Liquid Karma
1 teaspoon Cal/Mag supplement

I still have 1 unknown but I do have 4 extremely healthy females ready to be transplanted into there final homes and 3 others in cups I think I might just put in my 4" pots when they get here and see what happens.. they need some new soil bad.

I'm not quite sure what to do with the male I want to keep but I think i'm gonna shop around and see if I can build a cheap small cabinet for him.. can also use it for mothers later down the road. I just don't want to get extremely seedy bud.. just a branch or 2 on each plant most likely.

try 1qt yoghurt containers , make holes with heated fireplace poker works pretty well , 1qt is pretty close to 1L , I am making the switch to hps after a few rounds w/ cfls im all about the many mini plants, now to pick your brain how are your heat issues , for your space, how close can you get with a 250, if you could do it over would you have gone 150,or 175 hps, I have pretty much the same space 15deep X 4.5foothigh X width is expandable.as the actual closet is 6feet, so im thinking over time working up to 3 150s across the bottom or 2 on short light movers, and spliting the space in half top fluro tube vegg and bottom for bud im wondering if you think 150s have enough penetration to top light these small clones 12/12ed at about 4-6inches high thanks bro
I applaude your use of space

Yeah thanks for that idea for the containers, I also thought of getting some 1L coke bottles and using them. My 4 inchers should be here monday and hopefully they'll work, and if all goes well I might even be able to fit 15 in there.

As for heat issues, the only time I really have any heat issues is when my room is too hot. If I could drill a 4" hole in the ceiling and have it exhaust out I don't think I would ever have a problem with heat. It took a lot of testing to get my cabinet down to reasonable temps., have to run a fan in my window half the time to keep my room cool enough.. temps average about 82 and I try to keep them about 10-12" away from the bulb.

I have about 100w per square foot in my little cab and that pretty much gives me the max I can get outta it. So I would probably stick with the 250w myself, but if you have small enough plants the 150/175 could work. I'm not sure about the penetration, but if you did use them make sure you flower as early as possible. I flowered at 2.5" for my last grow and they ended up at about 17" i think. I flowered my current grow at 4ish inches and they'll probably be a bit taller. I would do some research and see how much a 150w does penetrate.. you can always lolipop 'em too, but I like to keep as much bud on the plant as possible. Maybe when I have 15 in there i'll start doin it for space reasons.

Thanks for stoppin by. bongsmilie

im goin to grow in my dresser so so far im goin to put tin foil all in around have a hole for ventalation with a fan and have a 250w hps light hanging in there. whats the easiest budd to grow and what else to i need step by step!!!
Don't use tin foil unless its all you can get a hold of. It is loud, weak, and not as good a reflective material as some would think.

I've found that mylar and bright white materials work best.
