Trim Jail - Feelings

Have you used one, how did you get on with it?
I has a look at it on YouTube but I picture resin getting brushed off, is that the case?
Works really well for some strains. If you can poke a leaf off with the tip of your scissors, the brush works really well.

Fini, about an hour and a half effort…this actually is a friend’s plant. He’s on vacation and I volunteered to handle the trim - just the kinda guy I am…

I’ll spread out onto a couple more trays and into the Cannatrol it goes! 4 days for dry, 4 days for cure and a couple days on the hold settings…looks like some pretty good weed. Sticky, stanky and dense as hell.F3561437-26C6-4C44-BC29-46D08DEC1BB2.jpeg88AA59AA-7805-4245-AFA7-54A25A8DBDD7.jpegimage.jpg

I love trimming, until I'm hours into it and see how much more I have left. It's like "oh shit, what did I get myself into"?

I always trim when wet, seems faster/easier when the leaves are all sticking straight out from the bud. But I have had some tell me it
s better after the leaves are dry. Seems it would be even more work, since the leaves are cocooned around the bud. How do you guys prefer to do it?

The legal limit here is 4 plants; with some help I can usually get thru the trim in a few hours. Makes for a great social gathering too…

I prefer to trim when wet, and I pull individual branches off the plants from the bottom up leaving as much of the skeleton in tact as possible. I also buck the individual buds off the branches and trim things down to roughly to size of my thumb. I lost a big chunk of a harvest many years ago, so I’m fixated/obsessed on airflow and space around the buds as they dry in the Cannatrol.

once they are done in the Cannatrol, I give them a final trim if necessary but I usually don’t need to do that. I store them in a CVault after the cabinet has done its magic, burp pretty frequently, and occasionally pull all the weed outta the CVault and refill it just to inspect the weed, and make sure there ain’t no fucking mold or powdery mildew at the bottom.

here is the trimmed weed from above, evenly spread out on the Cannatrol trays. After the 4 day dry cycle, I turn all the big buds over to avoid flat spots.

Ipower trimmer sounds interesting I'm also lazy around trimming time.

Lmao i tried a dremel with a piece of plastic coated nylon and it worked to a point but it threw trim everywhere and left a rough finish, basically a mini strimmer lol.

I used to have help, which was super nice. Then son moved out and got a night shift job, so he's done. My cousin went batshit crazy, started calling himself Tyler Durden and threatened to snitch on my grow. So he's also done. Now trimming is straight up hell again like it used to be when I started.

Here’s a bud after trimmed and cured with the ipower trimmer. I trimmed, and put buds on a drying rack on a pretty good size plant in less than an hour. I used to like hand trimming, but one decent sized plant would take hours.

That's a weirdly shaped bud.

I love trimming but I remember my first harvest I had a few pounds to trim by myself and I lost feeling in my fingers for a few days after a long trim sesh lol.

Doesn't trim like skilled hands but a quick brush with a silicone bristle brush or cannabrush when they're ready and good to go. Used to spend hours per plant hand trimming, it's been reduced to 20 mins on the machine and about 25 mins with a brush per plant (ish). Less than an hour per plant when before it would take 2-3 hrs per plant (4-6oz) just to wet trim. Almost an hour just to remove fan leaves and non resinous leaves prev (depending on strain of coarse). Trimming is no longer a consecutive life sentence. Just a quick overnight 'drunken disorderly'

Haha ya it was picked early, I was pretty stoked and wanted to try it out. That whole tent was a wash basically. Just made live hash and pressed it, and some fresh frozen bho. The rest is drying, and most will be processed into concentrates
I saw your products before so I know you are very skilled, thats the reason why I was wondering wtf. No bad vibes from my side jj
