it's up to you. i personally liked to see my ec slightly dropping daily. my small plants would be fried at 800ppm but everybody's grow is different.

i guess im going to take out a quart. and refill it with distilled. see if the ppms get down a bit. does that sound logical? or dumb. iv grown lots of hydro before. but this is the first time iv had high ppms at a fairly early stage. they have about 10 leaves.

like the old saying: if it aint broke, dont fix it.

i'd keep a sharp eye out for tip burn. and then act accordingly.

OK that sounds good. it's gurrila glue. i don't know if it makes a difference. like if its more tolerant. I just don't want it to lock out. is that a possibility with to high ppms? im not an expert.

let's say 843 was a good target ppm for you. here's what i'd like to see: day 2 820, day 3 800, day 4 789, etc, etc etc... then dump and refill on day 7 or so.

keep us updated

I've been growing GG4 for a few cycles now and it is a very easy cultivar to grow. I had it up to 1.5ec while in aggressive veg and it didn't tip burn at all. I don't run high ec normally and that's the only time I did it. I don't usually see any kind of daily changes with plants that little. Stable ph or slightly rising is good along with stable or slightly dropping ec and drop in water level. If water level isn't dropping everything should stay the same

This chart has been around for some time. Based on what you're reporting, your grow is in a perfect state.

I call the first image "Wonder Chart" and the second one, "Son of Wonder Chart". They offer good advice about the condition of your res and, if needed, what action to take.

These provide guidance, not gospel. I followed this religiously and ended up dropping EC into the .4 range before I figured that dropping pH could be a valid condition. Other than that, it seems pretty sound.

Son of Wonder Chart gets you to the same conclusions but is easier to navigate.

In m journal, I annotate the res conditions using the abbreviations for the three letters. At the moment, your grow is Falling, Static, Static which is just what you want.

Plants can be in a state of nutrient deficiency, sufficiency, or toxicity. The nutrient levels in your grow are in a state of sufficiency - that's just where you want to be. You're not going to convince your plants to consume more nutrients. Even if you could, that would tend to move them from a state of sufficiency to a state of toxicity. No reason to do that.

Yesterday at 12:21 PM "PPMS 843 staying steady"

Today at 12:15 PM "MY PPMS are not moving neither is PH. its 5.6 and PPMS 796. steady for 24 hrs."

843 ==> 796 is not "steady for 24 hrs". That's a significant drop and that's a good sign

How about posting pictures and more info about the grow? We know that it's hydro and that the plants are 2" tall but that's about it. More info would be very helpful.

What type of TDS pen/meter are your using and when was that last time you calibrated it? I'm asking that because as @rkymtnman says, an EC of 1.6 for 2" plants is unusual so maybe your TDS readings are off.
