Still a newbie - 2nd grow - 7 weeks into flowering -- The only issue with this grow is the temp in the room. I'm controlling the humidity using dehumidifier, but the temp has been warmer than I want it holding in the mid to upper 80s, Summertime in Rochester, NY ( 1st summer grow ). Next time I will get an AC unit. Have some pics below and looking for feedback.
Haven’t looked back to see if you had any previous posts. You’re gonna get your biggest yield if you can dial in the VPD for your grow space (temp and humidity are your two main driving factods the transpiration rate of your leaf.
Whats your lighting like? Do you have good exhaust flow going out of the room? Is it insulted well?
You’re already in week 7 —- I’d be going out and getting a portable AC unit with exhaust flowing out of a window or something to bring the temp down.
For your next and future grows…depending how in depth you wanna get…DIAL. IN. YOUR. VPD.
When you keep the environment consistent and stable…you’ll be busssin budddsss out that grow room. I promise. I dialed in and busted out 2 liter soda bottle sized buds.
When your VPD is small shit like root rot Pm & mold start happening. When VPD is high or big — the spores on the leaves will close up not allowing plant to cycle.
Google VPD and “dialing in VPD for grow room”
Read. Read. Read.
You will understand the importance that all your equipment contributes to the heat, feeding and the moisture from run off causing humidity in air to rise…
Also, research similar grow lay outs for your situation. Play around with your ventilation, exhaust, switch your lighting…
I’m into the nitty gritty as I do this professionally and enjoy reading about why x affects y and overall controls the outcome of x and how it all fits together like puzzle pieces.
Good luck and happy harvest.
