I'd like to ask about your 5gal inground. I've heard that's called 'mending' when you leave it in the pot but shove it in a hole. For temp control, water retention, etc.
Those look awesome! What latitude are you?View attachment 5163883can't believe these were the later starts -_-
With those monsters, you look like you're going to have lbs.Nice bro no signs of flowering yet
I drill six good size holes in bottom and put about a half inch of pea gravel in before soilI'd like to ask about your 5gal inground. I've heard that's called 'mending' when you leave it in the pot but shove it in a hole. For temp control, water retention, etc.
I would like to ask if you do anything to the bucket before it goes inground, like cut holes in it? Or cut bottom off? Idk ive done it with small #2 pots but not 5gal yet.
Central California hot as hell latelyThose look awesome! What latitude are you?
Oklahoma here. We have been running upper 90s to 107 for almost a month and they say next week could be all time record heat. I was born in Sacramento, know a little about California heat! Your plants really look healthy! What kind of a soil and amendment program do you use?Central California hot as hell lately
I'm just constantly stripping bigger leaves during flowering to keep good air flow and i never have powder mildew outside thats more of a inside problem if you don't have good air flow. I only had wpm problems like my first couple grows many years ago i got my technique down pretty much so the only thing i fight now is weather so i do a little inside nowCan you tell more about your pruning during flowering, and avoiding wpm?
BT And the fungus microbes are all I use through flower. BS? For fungus. I forgot but use southern ag variety due to cost.Is it okay to use monterey BT spray thru flowering to stop caterpillars/worms? Today I found 2 HUGE tomato hornworms (4"x1") on my jalapenos, and 1 small yellow caterpillar (under 1 inch) on the cannabis. Removed and squished all 3, the hornworms guts splattered everywhere. I would stop using the bt 2 weeks before harvest, and will do a bud wash
Growing in the north east nyc. The plant is stretching and preflower has begun, I'm sticking to veg nutes (fox farm) because the nitrogen is needed to feed thru this stretch and growth, but I'll add a small amount of tiger bloom and slowly transition over these 2 weeks.
I found a crab spider, hopefully he'll hunt the other worms until the bt arrives. Also, I found 2 adult spotted lantern flys, here is how they look in case anyone is unsure and finds this post/pest. They now fly and are harder to chase and kill
I dont like the way this season is going been way to dry,we are going to catch on the rain at some point hope it comes in aug not sept. Iam pretty much done first week of oct.Hot as hell out there. Watering daily is imperative. Juiced the kids last night, the autos are finishing up, while the others are over 6' and still in preflower. Shaping up to be a decent season. Hopefully, Croptober will be as dry.
