The fishing thread ( not about fish fertilizer)

I was booked up for a week in the Orkney Islands for brown trout and sea trout fishing but some daft cunt run the ferry aground, that was last week and they didn't email until tonight :cuss:

I'm disappointed beyond words I can't get a break.

Last week I travelled to Northumberland to find the river was coloured I got back in the car and headed across the country for Dumfries and Galloway, I got a hours fishing done before the heavens opened and the river started to rise and colour up.
350 miles and £200 for one hours fishing.

I'm crabbit af and stressed about the damn weather I need rain locally to avoid the astronomical prices for salmon and sea trout fishing.

It's at the time if we get rain I've a better than average chance of a salmon, Jeezo I need one, I seriously need a good bend in my rod to keep me sane.
 
Checked them this morning, nothing. :shock: I moved where the bait was and put it next to the opening and left one down there. I think they might not like the galvanized cage the bait is in, I'll try without it next.
