Think of switching to Jacks 3 2 1

I currently use veg bloom, like their whole line. Looking at a comparison chart of Jack's vs veg bloom then comparing the price its hard not to consider Jack's for real.

So can some of you that use Jack's tell me what your feed schedule is like? Do you use their finish? What formula do you use? What else do you find necessary to add?

I use jacks. 3-2-1 is all thats nessessary.

Take the desired EC, let's say 0.6 for veg and the start of flower, and divide it by 2.3, or whatever they have the desired EC listed as on their chart. Take the result and multiply it by the grams per gallon on their 1 gram per gallon feed chart from their website, and you'll get the exact measurements for what you want.

I fed full strength and it burned my plants pretty bad, now I'm at 1 EC on week 5 of flower and the plant is looking pretty good!

jacks 321 at 1.2-1.6 EC. Sometimes fulvic. MKP at 1g per gallon week 4 and 5.

I'm using Jack's 3-2-1 nutrients and have no reason to try anything else.

I bought the pretty bottles from Fox Farms for a grow in 2017. When I started growing again last year, I accepted that bottled nute manufacturers were just packaging the 19 chemicals that plants need but it was convenient and the price didn't bother me. I switched to Botanicare Kind for 2 grows last year. No complaints. They got the job done. I switched to Jack's because Kind Bloom wasn't available here in California.

My mixture per the docs for Part A and Part B is per their feeding schedule here (3.79 and 2.52 gm/gallon) but I don't use Epsom salts since there's enough S and Mg without it. Further proof that I'm a heretic is that I use the same mix from seedling to chop because the research that I've read doesn't indicate that I should do otherwise.

My last grow yielded 729 grams from 2 autos in a 2' x 4' tent. The only set back was a thrip attack in mid-flower but I caught it early and it didn't appear to cause much damage. I'm pleased with those results but one grow is an event, not a trend. I'll see how well that works out in the long run.

2-year Jack's user. I up the concentration to 2/3 suggested strength for the last week of veg and first 3 weeks of flower (to power the stretch), but I don't go above 1/3 strength at any other point in the grow. My water starts at 300 ppm, so the targets are 900 ppm to 1200 ppm. Works for me - your mileage may vary (but I doubt it, lol)...

5ml Kelp
0.1ml Southern Ag GFF
0.1ml ph Up
0.13ml 40% mono-silicic-acid (discontinued during later flowering)

Sometimes I will add a PK boost around week 5/6 of flowering.

Jacks is good stuff. My reservoir stays clean. I try to keep the 3-2-1 ratio. My last sativa run didnt like a lot of nutes. I found 1.8-1.2-.6 worked out and that kept the 321 ratio. I do use the magnesium sulfate because my well water has little to no magnesium.

It's really hard to compare "levels" when our schemes are probably so different. I top feed 4 X 10 mins each day and my plant medium is 100% perlite in 6-gallon CAT LITTER buckets (lol), with a gravity drain back into the res. The drain placement is 2" above the bucket bottom so the roots can always get to a pool of nutrient, even though perlite retains moisture really well. To keep the perlite out of the drain I contain it all in a 5-gallon "paint strainer" bag. Nutrient levels in the res stay very steady throughout the two-weeks between cleaning/replacing. Buying a house with a basement grow room space and bringing the architecture with me - I love it!

Nice looking set-up. I have those drain away trays but am curious about the containers. I usually use bato buckets. What are those called?
Do your drains go into the green thing?
Ive been trying to come up with a different design for my grow and this looks nice. Appreciate more details.

They are Hydrofarm Active Aqua pots. Yes the "green thing" is a condensate pump, which pumps the runoff out of the tent into a 5-gallon bucket that I empty weekly.
