Maybe the conservative SCOTUS will overturn precedent and declare the FBI unconstitutional, along with federal criminal law, state's rights. But how could the individual States rig their elections that way?
Next time the Republicans get in they will not fumble around with a boat anchor like Trump. Forget about wasting the first couple of years, they now know what they have to do to ensure their survival.Maybe the conservative SCOTUS will overturn precedent and declare the FBI unconstitutional, along with federal criminal law, state's rights.
Make it a voluntary federal program for states and those states that hold out will eventually stick out like a sore thumb. Put a voter registration checkbox on the income tax forms for those people who live in eligible states. Like those states that will only send electors in accordance with the national popular vote for president, they have quite a few already and at one point will make the EC moot.
Now that they smell blood in the water they will become bolder, however they still need his base of lunatics to win, so they have to be careful about how they do it. If Donald gets upset on his way under the bus, it could all go sideways for them though. By the time the republican presidential nomination comes up, Donald should be safely out of the way and muzzled. He's gonna take a lot down with him when he goes though and might clean out some statehouses! He should make a thousand in prison before he's done, excluding the suckers who sacked the capitol. We never even got into the regular run of the mill corruption that he and his cabinet members were involved in. Even DeJoy at the USPS was part of the conspiracy, but I doubt they will nail his ass. Donald told his supporters to vote in person, counting on mail disruptions that never happened because of the public outrage and scrutiny of the USPS in the weeks leading up to the election. Most republicans used to vote by mail, but Donald wanted them to vote in person in the middle of the pandemic, things changed and Donald was too dumb to react.GOP pollster Frank Luntz: Republicans are saying ‘it’s time to move on’ from Trump
Veteran GOP pollster Frank Luntz said on Thursday that a recent New Hampshire poll showing Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) narrowly edging out former President Trump indicates Republicans are saying “it’s time to move on” from Trump.
During an interview on CNN’s “New Day,” Luntz and the network’s chief White House correspondent, Kaitlan Collins, spoke about the University of New Hampshire Granite State Poll, which found that 39 percent of likely Republican primary voters in the state would back DeSantis as their first choice in a list of Republican candidates who are considered possible GOP presidential candidates. Trump, meanwhile, received 37 percent support in that poll. The results are within the survey’s margin of error of 5.5 percent.
“DeSantis is … the greatest threat to Trump when it comes to the Republican Party,” Collins said.
“It’s more than a threat,” Luntz noted. “The governor is proving that his approach and what he’s trying to accomplish and what he has accomplished in Florida is more significant and Republicans are now saying it’s time to move on.”
The pollster noted that Trump is still “the most popular political figure” within the GOP, adding that the former president now has a “specific challenger” for the upcoming 2024 presidential election.

Not most, but a lot more than democrats used to, it was a thing with republicans to get those mail in ballots in and they were organized to do it. Trump told them to vote in person and not to use the mail in 2020, cause the fix was in with DeJoy, or so he thought. It was a public plan, the opposition reacted accordingly and a lot of heat was brought on the USPS with the union involved too. Donald kept on going, even discouraging mail in voting and never adapted the plan."Most republicans used to vote by mail..."
I am not all too sure of that. You will see the Republicans politicians wait until after November to see where the winds blow.
It was an obvious public plan that was widely discussed and speculated on at the time, DeJoy slowed the mail to a crawl and it was a struggle sometimes to get the mail through. Mostly rural customers were screwed by it, rural republicans depend on the mail the most and some weren't getting meds by mail in time. Donald screwed his base again and they didn't care.I'm still salty the mail got politicized and fucked up. It was stupid. Really par for the course though.
That was my experience. We have to mail stuff to clients for my work and it started taking forever and/or just not making it. We mostly moved to UPS when possible or anything important. Even fancy overnight certified mail has been not great, it's kind of a pain to use as well.It was an obvious public plan that was widely discussed and speculated on at the time, DeJoy slowed the mail to a crawl and it was a struggle sometimes to get the mail through. trump can't wipe his ass without breaking at least one law...if Garland can't convict that fat fuck, he doesn't deserve to be any kind of attorneyFederal grand jury subpoenas firm that merged with Trump social network
The firm that merged with former President Trump’s social media company received federal grand jury subpoenas last week, the company disclosed in a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing Monday.
A grand jury in the Southern District of New York issued subpoenas to each member of the board of directors of the special purpose acquisition company, or SPAC, that merged with the Trump Media and Technology Group.
The latest subpoenas add to growing scrutiny of the deal. Federal regulators launched investigations into the merger between Trump’s company and Digital World Acquisition Corp, the SPAC, in December, just weeks after the merger was announced.
The new subpoenas seek some of the same documents as federal regulators, as well as requests for communications with or about “multiple individuals,” and information about Rocket One Capital, a Miami-based venture capital firm, according to Monday’s filing.
Trump Media and Technology Group said in a statement it will cooperate with the investigation.
“TMTG is focused on reclaiming the American people’s right to free expression,” it said. “Every day, our team works tirelessly to sustain Truth Social’s rapid growth, onboard new users, and add new features. We encourage-and will cooperate with-oversight that supports the SEC’s important mission of protecting retail investors.”
The development risks further delaying the merger’s completion.
The investigation from the SEC and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority is seeking information about events that took place before the public announcement.
SPACs, also known as blank check companies, are formed to raise capital through an initial public offering for the purpose of acquiring or merging with a company. But they are not supposed to have an acquisition target in mind as they raise money from investors.

"In July 2020, Cohen was taken back into custody and sent to jail. But days later a federal judge ordered him released to home confinement after the judge agreed with Cohen’s lawyers that he had wrongly been sent back to prison after he made public statements critical of Trump.
He was briefly sent back behind bars because, federal authorities said, he had refused to agree to certain terms of his release. A judge ordered him released, finding the action "retaliatory" because he was planning to write a book about Trump."
What kind of justice is that?
