Plant Security vs. One Unnecessary Transplant

Help guys. I have some yard workers on the property until July 3rd, 13 days away. My GRP is in a two gal pot and roots are starting to show in the drain holes. I've been hiding it while the workers are here but not in a good place. I want to put it straight into the ground hole I dug and filled with FF Ocean Forest, but the workers will see it there. The Question;

Is it better to transplant it for two weeks into a 5 gal pot and keep moving it? Or, should I leave in in the 2 gal pot for 13 more days>

If there's risk with the workers don't go into the ground just yet. Transplanting will get you a bigger plant faster ime, and you'll be able to stash it from sight (Hopefully)
I kept a plant in a 1gal for so long.. I was able to fill a 4x4 with it right after the transplant. (About 4 months)
Wondered after the fact if I should have pruned the root ball.

I guess my real questions is, can this plant stay in the 2 gal pot for 13 more days without being root bound?

As long as it’s not root bound leave it.
If it is, pot up.
Keep it mobile.
I’m in the same boat w Reno’s and trades in constantly at my place.
Meanwhile I’m hardening off plants disguised in open totes.
Still in 1gal containers and growing fast.
Last year it was 3 gal container in a garbage can to keep it out of sight.

Just leave it. Large plants can grow in small containers.

Also, I'm sure some will have issue with this but when you finally transplant it to its final location make sure to loosen up the roots if they're all rootbound and compacted.

Good luck with your grow.
