Samuel Robert is local to me but I’m not a fan.
Drinkable.
Attractive price point.
But not a good Pinot.
Disclaimer: I’m a Pinot snob.
I used to drink mostly European wines and shipped it all to my door from various importers. I'm a Priorat snob lol. We can have that debate another time.

The Samuel Robert was on sale for 11.99. I thought it stood out from my experience of pinot as a grab and go buy. Tell me something you like and I'll make the muni order it!

Aside from hunting the perfect hazy IPA for @Dr.Amber Trichome … my new passion is the perfect under $20 GSM.
This was 19.99
70/20/10 Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre.
Has that distinctive Rhône barrel taste.
Have some more research to do …View attachment 5149060

Bún Thịt Nướng

Vietnamese grilled pork and rice noodle salad.

A bed of lettuce, mint, and cilantro from the garden with a rice noodles on top. Bun Gao noodles. The Do Cua was made with turnips I grew instead of daikon and you couldn't tell. If anything it was better. Some cucumber from the store, crushed and whole peanuts I roasted and green onion from the garden as well. I used pork chops but brined before marinating them. Lemongrass, garlic, and other ingredients were used. Turned out very moist and flavorful.

littleton is denver IMO. so is lone tree, lakewood, ken caryl, and probably morrison if you catch me on a bad day.
Not to me. Littleton is mellow and way less people than Denver. Morrison is even more mellow except the cops, lol. But surprisingly I was pulled over by a lady cop driving through and I talked my way out of a ticket. Nobody gets off with a warning in Morrison,. Not to mention I was on my way home from a dispensary and the owner took me in the back and we shared some chocolate edibles, so I was high too, lol.

I like living on the west of Denver, so I can avoid the chaos usually.

I tried Campfire Stew in the oven tonight. Turned out pretty decent.

Usually you make foil packets and put whatever you want in them and then put them straight on some good coals on a campfire. Flip with tongs and cook a little longer. I learned it at summer camp when I was a kid and everyone we've told about it starts doing it. Easy, Tasty, and fun for kids.

Mine's plain with just carrots, potatoes, ground beef, and seasoned with Lawry's. But onions, mushrooms, or whatever you want can be added.

Shrimp, veggies, and butter would probably be good too in a foil pouch on the fire.
