The lady had pizza with her co-workers after work today and I found some leftover chili in the freezer that I decided to eat so no cooking tonight for me.
The lady made a pitcher of fresh lemonade yesterday so I made candied lemon peel. I broke out the bourbon, used the lemon simple syrup and some fresh lemon juice. I don't know what you call it but it was good. I'm not a big fan of mixed drinks that are sweet but every now and then I'll have one or two.
It was clean out the freezer day and I have my eye on some beef stew I found so I'll have that in a bit for a late meal. But right now I'm going to make another drink to go with a bowl I just loaded.

I'm substituting a porterhouse and foil pack potatoes in that pic for dinner.
Too damn hot/humid for a traditional dinner tonight.

I love French onion soup, but it makes for some ripe farts. It's like the opposite of garlic breath, haha.
Beautiful and I love the peonies on the table.
