Mesh to prevent bugs from duct/exhaust

I'm trying something different with the new grow chamber I'm working on.

The main exhaust fan is hooked to a temp controller, and only comes on when it starts to over heat, which is when the lights are on.

When the lights go off, it triggers a photo cell, which is connected to a humidity controller, that go's to another smaller separate exhaust fan. That way it's only ventilating at night when the RH spikes.

Seems more functional than a regular fan speed controller with set points.

Eventually going to be hooking up 2 motorized duct dampers, that switch the flow and lead to a heat recovery ventilator, and other spots in the grow trailer.

Not sure how advanced i can get without programing my own computer chips, and just using multiple off the shelf controllers with relays, etc.

Wouldn't it be nice if all our indoor horticulture toys were open source, interchangeable & programmable?

I bought the Hyper climate controller that auto-adjust in and out fans to a set temperature in the grow room, so far they are brilliant and now the nights outside is like 3 celsius and they keep the room at 26 lights on and 22 lights off, couldn't be happier with them easy and precise.

Is that controller for a ac fan? Does your fan buzz/hum at all when it's running at low speed?
 
Any type of screen, mess or cloth will limit the flow of air.
Look no further then your house indows for example. Windy day not much wind coming in, open the screen alot more wind.
The wind creates a wall basically if the holes are to small from surface tension.

Will only work with hyper fans, I have a 250 in and a 150 + 250 out, the fans seem to work well in going up and down when controlling temps, the inlet slows way down smoothly with no humming the outlet always has a bit of revs on it to keep negative pressure, they do a good job Im happy so far Ive only had them for about 6 weeks, in the beginning, it was hot outside now its really cooled down and they haven't missed a beat. But you gotta have a heat source if its cold outside, LEDS on there own may not work as the fans would hardly give any exchange, I run CMH with Leds for the heat.
 
Want to prevent bugs/birds from getting to my inline fine exhaust & carbon filter. What type of mesh/solution do you use?
the leg off a pair of pantyhose over the pre/filter and all.if you are drawing thru the filter single layer at exz port

I know it says “carbon” but it’s total bullshit. This thing isn’t stopping any odors.. it will stop small particles from going through your intake tho.. as it has mine.
 
No way you can use these to filter air please show me how you did this
A 4" intake fan is connected to a 4" pvc pipe that goes through the floor into a crawlspace. A Conical automotive filter fits at the end. Simple, maintenance free, clean intake air.
 
Sweet Ty for Explaining that to me I had the same similar idea for a growbox wasn’t sure if I could use it that way though or if it would filter it properly
