I’ve decided I’m going to be trying out Down To Earths stuff on my next run. DTE has Vegetable Garden fert at 4-4-4 and their All Purpose fert at 4-6-2. Which of these would be better to run for the veg stage?

Probably 4-4-4.
But don't forget about Biolive 5-4-2, with beneficial bacteria and mycos already added.

The vegetable garden is pretty strong. The biolive is less concentrated, and you need more per gallon of soil.
I use there veg garden outdoors for my veggies and it works great.

I've been running 4-4-4 for veg and flower girl for bloom cycle. I do a mix of the two 50/50 at the flip when I top dress as they need the nitrogen for the stretch. It's good stuff and makes life very simple as long as you stick to a schedule with the top dressing. I add 2 tbls per gallon of soil at planting of 4-4-4 and then the 50/50 blend at flip. I'll usually go right to flower girl next two weeks later, unless I'm running a strain that stretched a lot and needs more nitrogen and then I'll give a little 4-4-4 mixed in at the first top dressing after flip. You need to be able to read the plants and see what they are doing. Then it's just 2 tbls per gallon of flower girl every two weeks and some Epson salt to add magnesium every so often. I also use Recharge brand mycos for a root stimulant and soil innoculant to boost microbiology as I'm not doing a true organic living soil so I figured it helps. I give them molasses two or three times a grow during veg after the recharge to help feed the microbes and to add a little sulphur. That's it and the best part is no more ph testing the water as long as your tap is reasonable. Hope you have good luck with it.

Yeah man, maybe just check the BioLive out, if you haven't already purchased the other ones. It's got a few more cool ingredients that the Vegetable, plus the beneficial bacteria and fungus.
But I guess the microbes aren't a huge deal if your soil is already chronic and swarming with them.

I hadn't seen that before and it looks really good. Has anyone checked out how much it costs to use since it seems to require a good bit more per gallon than the 4-4-4? Having all the microbes and beneficials included is terrific but if adding them in separately with Recharge or another brand is a lot cheaper then my broke ass is going to have to stick with the cheapest way. I started out with dry amendments because it was a really affordable way to grow and then really got into the results and simplicity of it.

Another quick question, i was looking at Down To Earths seabird guano but i cant seem to find anywhere to buy it without paying double for the shipping. So i found these. Roots organics seabird guano and Fox Farms Cavern culture. Anyone have any experience with either of these?

I was looking online for seabird guano as well. DTE is a 5lb box 0-11-0 ($22-24)
Roots Organics is a 3lb bag 0-12-0 @ ($14). I went with the Roots Organics because it was cheaper & has 20% calcium added. Not sure about FoxFarms Happy Frog.
I use Down to Earth for Greensand & Azomite. DTE is a good brand, I also use various TPS, BioAg, Microlife,RAW, Roots Organics & Dr. Earth products as well & love how much I get for the money (good value). Plus I got that free bunny honey from owning a rabbit, also have a bag of 90% fulvic acid & a bag of chitosan oligosaccharide & some Blackstrap molasses. Recharge & Plant Success Organics for PGRP.. bases are covered lol. Always stay making teas

Last month I was messing around with Insect Frass and Mexican bat Guano for the same kind of effect. I guess it's working, the plants haven't complained.

All seabird guano is going to contain calcium. It's due to the diet of fish. The DTE has 20% Ca as well. Chances are they source from the same wholesaler. Either one is a good product.

Insect Frass is great, I love that & chitin chitosan and crab meal. I never tried biolive yet. I've got my hands full finishing off what I got so far.

I did not know about the calcium percentages ,I've seen some seabird guano at 3-7-2 before & prefer the 0-12-0 or 0-11-0 mix honestly. But yes I agree all are good, never had an issue.

I have bought all my other DTE products from Amazon but for some reason their Seabird Guano is unavailable to ship to my location from Amazon and any other site i goto the shipping is more then the product itself.

DTE is great. The cheapest suppliers for DTE in my area is hydroponic stores.
however, I’m kicking DTE to the curb for my garden. You can get the same stuff if not better at local feed stores for a fraction of the price.
I’ve also heard stories about the DTE owners being kind of sleazy in real life. I’d also rather support those local feed stores.

Can you show an example of what you mean? I have never seen Guano at a "local feed store."
