Solar powered irrigation

Looking for some advice for a simple and inexpensive setup for irrigation on my plants outside.

Would like to use this or something similar.

Thinking having the panel power a car battery or something , would like a recommendation on a type of battery that would be ideal.

And then have a 12v sump running off a timer . Only need it to water once a day for a few minutes. Any suggestions/ advice appreciated

To sum it up I have a large res I plan on using but I do not have electricity to my grow spot.

Wouldn’t this work or do you not have a water source that close by. Either way this has me thinking of how I can grow pot in the woods and automate watering with solar! If I just had a reliable water source I could high jack.

. Now I get it. I read your post like ten times trying to understand what your trying to achieve. I’m half retarded so there’s that. We use a solar panel that hooks to a battery at work that runs 100 gallon fuel cells. The system works really well if they park in sun when not using. Your on the right track looking at that kit.

I use solar to power my lung room ventilation and also clone lights. You will probably want a bigger panel, I'd go for 100watt. You will want a marine battery, not a car battery to backup your power.
How do I determine if I need 100Ah or 10Ah or 33Ah there are alot of options

Figure out how much youll use ea day then do the math.A standard group 27 rv battery has approx 100 amp hrs.You dont want it to drop more then 50% before re charge.

A solar setup would be nice, but if you want an inexpensive alternative that can be carried in and out consider a drill pump. Most are under $20, you provide the battery powered drill.

I used to have an old Mercedes that I converted to run off of used veggie oil, and would use a drill pump to get oil from the vats behind Chinese restaurants. The old car smelled like egg rolls driving down the street.

Last time I tried those, I had two in a pot and still had to hand water.
maybe you didnt prime it. when you first use it you have to put it deep in water and move the cable to relese all the air pockets. after that it should work. mine worked for a season. next season it was plugged. but 4 was 1$ soo it was worth it my plant made a white mass of roots around it. you couldnt find dirt all roots

I primed them as required. I would have needed four of them for my plant to avoid hand watering.
