i've watched the original too...and i have to say it's not bad, the live action i haven't seen yet.....

The cast is great. The storyline suffers because of the limitations of live action and overreliance on CG.

well over the weekend i did catch a little anime.....Shield hero book 1 is actually good, now going into Book 2 i'm up to the recent episode and i gotta say i'm really on the fence with the story line and what's actually going on....guess i'll have to see.....

I watched RotSH-1 while waiting for S2 to drop…and yes, like a fair number of shows, this has gotten re-footed & much more contemplated. Still a great show, but the track change can be bumpy, for sure; right now, the beef seems to be having to watch more character development for the new girl (much of S1 was character development for Filo & Raphtalia). Same kinda happened in Faraway Paladin: first 5-ish eps were their own show, it got very different after that.
I REALLY enjoyed the Irregular series.

Both have dubs on Crunchy (RotSH-1 has dubs), but I can’t attest to their quality, I’m a sub guy (so to speak)
