Im on Day 17 of flower and am seeing a minor issue effectiong about 5% of my plants on my more hard to grow strains. I often see it, half the time it corrects the other times it gets slowly worse where towards the very end of flower ill have a decent amount of yellow brown leaves but the buds always come out A+ which is kind of weird. Any input would be appreciated.

Grow details-
HLG Scorpion 650R Lights
5 gallon buckets of Biobizz light mix (Just plain peat and 30% perlite)
Hand water, BioBiz Main line (Grow, Bloom, Algamic, TopMax) plus General Organics CaMg as needed+ Hygrozyme + Benificials in carbon filtered water.
1500 ppm CO2 room usually 86-88(day) 67-74(night) this run Humidity at 50-60%

You might be giving them too much of something causing lockouts. pH is another thing to think about.

But when you say sometimes it corrects itself, and sometimes it gets worse makes me think more of lockout.
I immediately thought ph, but then seen N wasn't locked out obviously.. so could excess N have locked out K? I ask because I feel I can learn a little something here along with the op. :dunce: :eyesmoke:

It's all good. Ca is one of the big ones to cause lockouts, and I see he's adding Cal-Mag with the other stuff. But it could be too much of other stuff too. Ca is just what I'd check first.

N isn't as bad for causing lockouts. As you see in the chart N is mostly antagonist to Cu, K, and B. So yes too much N can lockout K.

I still don't have it all figured out at all, but this chart is helping me make sense of this stuff.

I have this taped to my grow room wall to remind me that Ca is very antagonistic with a lot of other nutrients.

Im on well water at 325ppm.. most of that Ca. I've pretty much quit using Calmag. I may mist epsom salts after lights out if I see a Mag lock out. It's kind of a band aid till I figure out what's really going on.

I'm on well water too, but like 170ppm mostly Ca. Since my water is high in Ca, I limit Ca amendments, and my soil needs more Mg and K than if the Ca wasn't as high.

Langbeinite is awesome stuff. It's Sul-Po-Mag (S,K,Mg). So that kinda counteracts the high Ca. I don't know if you're following what I'm saying. I'm high, lol.

I’ve seen this more than once. I need to download some info regarding it so I won’t forget to read it. Thanks.

Appreciate the indepth responses. Ive been pretty light on the cal mag but have been feeding it every watering at half strength. Maybe I dont really need it and im just used to my usual 50/50 coco/peat mediums. I also use molases which has som Ca in it and the natural pH up I use is calcium carbonate so has a lot of Ca in it as well. But im finding I kind of need it as I dont see any natural pH up and after adding nutes my pH is down to like 5.3-5.5.
Biobizz says I dont have to pH but how can I water in soil with that low of a pH ...

Sounds like low pH now that you say that.

Molasses will also lower pH. It's best for teas.
