I hear that. Still, I'd rather have spiders than cats.Nope.
I'd live on raft in the ocean first.

I used to have a fishing spider that lived in my cabin that I named Optimus Prime. Each section of his body was about the size of a quarter, he was huge. But I never saw a bug in there. Miss that little fellow.Yeah, but you don't want wolf spiders with a five inch leg span just showing up, without a solid idea where they came from...
They are allowed to live and let live in THE YARD.I used to have a fishing spider that lived in my cabin that I named Optimus Prime. Each section of his body was about the size of a quarter, he was huge. But I never saw a bug in there. Miss that little fellow.
Banana spiders suck. I always ended walking into a web on Guam, or coming face to face with one when I was looking for Boonie peppers.I give this thread four stars for comedy. One star for pets in the grow room. Five stars for the compassion of the pet owner.
I know several grown ass men that will hurt a mofo over a damn spider. I’m every girls hero because I don’t give no shits about bugs or snakes or much of anything that’s freaking out the wife or kids. However I’m cool with live and let live if it’s a choose.

That does suck. Walking in the mountain countryside in these parts is bad for that.Banana spiders suck. I always ended walking into a web on Guam, or coming face to face with one when I was looking for Boonie peppers.
That's why you carry a stick........for websAgree. just being close by is not enough to get me excited. With that said I will dispatch of a bees nest if it is inside of my comfort zone,
while I will let a spider web outside hang around.
There is one web in my garage that has a debris field under it. Wings and indigestible parts dropped from the web.

Walking a trail is usually not too bad.
Step off of the beaten path and
and I took that personallyThe spider jumped and landed on the floor and I immediately stomped it.
I really hate to kill pollenaters but red wasp and other mean ass stinging mofos, once they’ve drone first blood, well it’s on then.Agree. just being close by is not enough to get me excited. With that said I will dispatch of a bees nest if it is inside of my comfort zone,

Surprised myself. I struck like a ninja. He never knew it was coming. He was busy trying to intimidate my cat. He went to heaven a bully.and I took that personally
I'm in northern Alberta and have Black Widows in my grow room ffs. They must have been here since I bought the place from an old couple almost 20 years ago. My grow room was a cold room full of shelves and they used to store bulk fruit and veg they'd buy at farmers markets so maybe came in a bunch of bananas or something. Was looking close at one that I disturbed sweeping the floor and thoght it looked like a BW so caught it and put it in a little glass jar I had down there to get a look at it's belly and sure enough.Pretty much the whole valley around here is really bad for Black Widows, even up into the mountains a bit. I've been bitten once, don't want to do it again. Their webs feel almost like fishing line, really strong, that's how I can tell there is one in the area.
I'm in Virginia, which is quite possibly the home range for Black Widows.I'm in northern Alberta and have Black Widows in my grow room ffs. Dumped it out in the corner by the heater and told it catch some bugs.
I see little ones too so they must be eating something.
