Runoff @ 1400 ppm

So after 2 years of winging it I finally got a ppm/ec meter. Just finished the first week of 12/12 . Water going in tonight was @ 375 ppm. I caught the first bit of runoff and it was @ 1400 ppm. She looks healthy but that seems a crazy number. I let that sit for 20 or so minutes and then ran another gallon of water through and waited till runoff was almost finished and tested again. This time runoff was @ 1150. Should I flush till what comes out is close to what goes in or just skip feeding until the numbers match.

2 600W HPS
10 gal Fabric pot.
75% organic soil
25% perlite
Emerald Harvest nutes (full line up)
Been feeding every day at a full strength mix

1400 lil high bro but after 1 2 days if they can hack it you good if not change rez out. Or add another gallon or two of fresh water will drop it a little. I had same problem. I was at 1700 hundred last week I messed up the nutes bit I added 2 gal of fresh distilled water number wnt to 900 1000ppm and they were cool with that number

This is a great place to get this off of my chest.

I calibrate my vivosun meter every six weeks and have never cleaned it or stored it dry.

Phew. I feel a lot better now.

on this grow I used viva sun everthing some of their products just suck. They do have great prices but you get what you pay for vivasun meter suck period tents not to bad for price inline fan are also pretty good. But meters suuuuck I have sent 3 meters back to Amazon already ph meter just blow all together ppm meter not to bad bit u don't trust bit I am not spending 500 600 bucks on blue lab guardian

A bluelab basic ph pen is about 100bucks. Think all that time you spent returning products and getting wrong readings wasted time didn't equate to more than the 100bucks?

Agree on that blue lab is Def best. I rather wait and get a good tri meter on next grow Def won't be vivasun

I've never used another meter apart from vivosun. I know it sucks though. I did learn after making the same batch of water a hundred times, I'm not as dependent on the meter. But holy fuck is it slow when I do need it.

I bought my Bluelab pH meter in January, once my cheap 'yellow' meter finally wouldn't calibrate. It cost 70$ shipped with tax and all that. I did spring for the Bluelab calibration fluids and some storage solution since my old one used different calibration points. All in all, 100$ with everything you need to maintain.

After using the cheap one, I can say that the experience of the Bluelab is way better. The cheap one would bounce around and finally settle in but sometimes was just erratic. The bluelab doesn't do that, it just settles to the right number within a few seconds and stays there. Calibration is easy too.
