Good morning everyone I hope everyone is having a blessed day. First tent grow I never grew in tent so new at tent. This is vivasun 5 5 6 roof tent I have 8 inch inline adjustable fan vented out window. So it is a room in a room. Outside the tent is cool ac air and humidifier. Can I leave top vent open on top to take un the other rooms cool air. I wanted to open a bottom vent but they are facing wall not turning tent around still have to get that huge 8 inch carbon up in their. I know should of done it first. Will this work. Lol look at walls all sucked in lol.
Any advice would be great on anything

The 8 inch is pretty big for that tent but all good. Opening up the top vent will work too but consider your exhaust fan will mostly just pull air from there and create a pocket of stagnant air near your plants. Air travels path of least resistance ie. being it so close to the open port at the top it’ll pull all its air from there as opposed to the bottom where you want it to pull the hot air from. I’d pick up a inline air intake to bring fresh air into the tent and keep things cool

If you push air thru the filter you can leave it outside tent to save space
Pick up another one I thought that's what the 8 inch inline was for that I am lost little bit so i understand little so open a bottom vent would be better to let cool air in
I hear you so how I got it is sucking hot air out tent and it's duct out the window. Outside the tent is room with a and humidifier so i guess open up vent on bottom so cool air come in sorry never used these filters and inline. First tent last time I grew they didn't have tents

I don't know your lighting situation.
But for an old school HID, a 400 Watt fixture is matched to a tent.
anything higher is a heat problem about to happen.
A 4" fan will usually suffice to ventilate that sort of light.
Anything larger would need more capacity.
The suction of the fan kept the smell in the tent for me.
I would be afraid of a suction collapse with an 8 inch fan in there without the bottom vents open.
I never found a solution in a tent. For a full 4x4 quadrant, I needed a whole room in my house to manage heat, humidity, and air movement.
Same bro first tent grow I know the 8 inch is a bit much but the 90s and long run I got out the window I thought I needed it plus it got adjustable know. So I gotta vented out tent then out window and I just pulled it away from wall so I opened a big bottom vent so cool air can come in through bottom lol that carbon filter 8 inch big bro lol I gonna wait to put that monster In. This is first day in their so it 85 today see what temp and humidity look like. In the tent I have two hlg 100 legs. Also first time a used lens. I always usually use my hps lights trying to change up a little.
Yea bro I think if I put my 1000 watt hps I their will be way to hot I think for that 5 5 6 tent
what do you think I put pics in original postI feel you ugh I spent all this time on it so I am going to give test run today I did manage to open a bottom vent just now so we'll see what happens Def got to put that carbon in their innextweek or so before the ladies smell to want to alert anyone

I had to devote an entire room to a 1000 Watt HID.
Put a filter on the door to filter air coming in and exhaust out the ceiling to another room in the house.
Fans move the air around and the HVAC system keeps the temps in the sweet spot.
Rather let a 18 SEER HVAC system handle it than close the room and use a split unit in there.

Thanks bro lol I feel you I am almost done this little grow and still have not dialed humidity totally in yet. So I have three hlg 100 in their so it's like a 600 watt hid light the specs said. So it has been hot out so I only have 1 bottom vent and I installed LG PORTABLE AC IN THAT VENT THAT GOES OUT THE WINDOW. I ALSO INSTALLED 35 PINT DEHUMIDIFIER. AND I HAVE THE 8 INCH INLINE AND CARBON ON TOP VENTING OUT ANOTHER WINDOW. ITS SO STRONG SO I HAVE ADJUSTABLE SPEED ON INLINE I TURN TO HALF WAY AND IT GOES ON 1 MINUTE ON 4 OFF. I DID NOT HAVE ANY BOTTOM VENTS LEFT SO CRACKED THE BOTTOM ZIP FOR SOME AIRFLOW. ITS IN A SHED ANYWAY. TEMPS GOOD AT 70 75. HUMIDIITY IS LOWEST 50 60% I HAVE IT SET TO 30% BUT I CANT GET IT THEIR. ALSO WHEN FAN GOES ON IT SEEMS LIKE HUMIDITY GOES UP? IDK MAYBE ITS A WIND TUNNEL. THAT IS ALMOST ALL DETAILED INFO FIGGURED I AT LEAST ASK

Sorry, I've been really busy.
Humidity goes up because of air circulation. It's drawing moisture from the pots.
High humidity is a killer, because of all the bad effects it can cause.
I much prefer to deal with dry air, because of how much moisture comes from pots in high70 degrees.
I Use my HVAC continually, to keep the air dry.
Normally it is in the teens or 20's, but as soon as I water a pot : 50-/+%
