from what I can gather I’m looking at a 9-10week flowering time. I have a digital scope but it’s hard to get clear images of the trichomes. Seems like I’m nearly all cloudy.

I hope they start putting on more weight before the end. I want lots of fruit from my labor.

When should I start the flushing process? My PPMs are low, and if they remain that way I want to hit them a few more times with heavy feeds plus more BK. Should I start flushing (herc&aphro) by week 7? If that is the case, I can get 2 more feedings in before then.

I was looking at the 1st picture and my 1st reaction was exactly what u were thinking throw those away Lol. But it looks like you did a good job bringing them back to life. Props for sticking it out!!!

The ripening flush will help add some more weight still. It's forcing calcium and phosphorus up into the bud. With more calcium and phosphorus in the the fruit it will hold more weight after the evaporation during drying and curing. I had a lot of stuff that I thought was going to be larf that hardened up last minute. Slf 100, Herc, Aphrodite's, and tritons.

I noticed last night when watering that they definitely are putting on weight. Size isn’t increasing dramatically but when I moved the pots to water them the branches started bouncing from all the extra weight

I added some aloe to my feeds because it’s going to hit high 80F this week. I also have coconut powder - would that be okay to add to my nectar or a waste? Any tips on how to keep my plants happy during heatwaves? I’m sure the tents will get above 85 degrees.

I don’t have triton yet. I’m going to finish this run with just the Greek lineup so I stay under my wife’s financial radar. I actually just put on carbon filters on because our backyard is starting to get too fragrant.

If all goes well, I’ll invest in more nectar, EZ teas, more soil amendments, full on, magamp, bokashi, and I got ambitions for UVA supplement lights, CO2, and ditching the tents for a actual build out.

I’ve been collecting equipment off OfferUp. I’ve gotten lucky and had people donate free gear because they just need it gone. So I have dehumidifiers, humidifiers,14k btu A/C,CO2 controller, and lots of other things. Only thing holding me back is my electrical issues. I need to pay someone to assist/walk me through upgrading my garage 15amp breaker. I’d most likely need to run new wire to the detached garage as well. I feel like I could do it all myself but would feel better having someone look over it to make sure I don’t burn down the house. I have month or two before the weather gets too hot to maintain without A/C assistance.

if you have it use it , figure out which way it fits in with your coconut powder …. I was talking to a friend , he use mustard powder to keep Gnates away …… only use in veg cause the nitrogen is 4.0 …

Im right there with ya bud. Just bought a house and can now design a room. Debating whether to ditch the tents or fill the room with tents for a perpetual grow. The only thing I don't like about them is they hold alot of heat. The kraken is great for making your branches super hard and sturdy to support big buds but makes Lst a little more difficult. I have no idea about electrical. My plants have a little efficiency apartment right by my house. I can't wait to move them in with me to qagcb over them 24/7. Electrical is a big worry for me too. The apartment is still using buss fuses Lol. I had to put cameras and smoke detectors up that link to my phone.

Bud fuses! That is unnerving. My panel is using FPE stab-loks, which unfortunately are known for high failure rates. I took pictures of my panel and posted it to a legit electrician forum. They were very official but went through my panel and put me at ease. Basically it’s old, but nothing that should make me run away screaming.

My new game plan is to run a new electric line to my garage. I’d throw my lights on the separate line and that will allow me to get a A/C going without overloading stuff. I now need to research running conduit underground. Since I'm renting I need it safe - but also removable when/if I need to move.

Thanks for pointing out the recipe to heat waves. I drenched my actual garden multiple times and have only minor casualties from the heat. a few poppy flowers got wilted and my goji berry got pissed in my little greenhouse.

Now onto my cannabis plants. So for the three days the temps hit 90, 100, and 88 degrees. I kept my eye on them and they seemed okay. Unfortunately last night when I was feeding them I noticed what I believe are pollen sacks or nanners. It looks like only one of the plants was stressed enough to herm out. Should I pluck them off and keep on? Or should I just cull it/ harvest it early.

The more I read up on this the more I’m feeling urged to just cut it down tonight. The lights are currently off so I can’t go in until tonight. I’m running my lights on at 9pm out of fear of getting too hot. I regret this decision, but I’m kind of stuck with it until my next cycle.

So I chopped my girls in the attic. I got everything wrong I could get wrong but its still my favorite hobby by far.

PH issues.... I have another few girls in a controlled environment and am closely monitoring their soil PH, they are 18 days into flower. They are in 3 gallon plastic pots. I use FF Happy Frog (at least initially) that I recycle, though Ive only recycled once so far. I checked the PH of the re-used FF potting soil and added lime to get it up to a reliable reading of 6.5. Thats what the girls are in

I use dechlorinated city water 7.9 PH 335 PPM (not the greatest) but plenty of room on the upside PH wise.

Before I swapped to 12/12 lighting at about 6 weeks I did a slurry... 6.2 PH 500 PPM
I added Chimera (2 Tablespoons) as a top dress and added soil over top.
Two feedings (Greek regimen) later (1st watering PH'd to 7.2, 2nd PH'd to 7) and my slurry is still 6.2. It hasnt budged after adding Chimera and PH'ing my feed water high. That confuses me as Oregons Constant Gardener on Youtube seemed to indicate that Chimera will instantly boost the PH but that hasnt been my experience. Maybe I needed more than 2 Tablespoons per pot?

I need to get the soil out of 6.2 land

How big are the plants compared to the pots , 1. That it’s more roots then soil , and really no buffer could keep the ph down .. and chimera is not an instant think unless liquid form which It’s not and takes a little for it to break down and start working … 6.2 is not bad but needs to be a little higher .. …with adding soil over top ? Fresh soil or amended soil ? And what soil are you using ? FF ? And what are you putting in your amended soil ?

The plants are small. I swap to 12/12 when the girls are about to my knee. At this point they're 32" tall. They're in stretch, though we know with NFTG they dont stretch much.

After adding Chimera I put an inch of potting soil (not amended, just Happy Frog) over the top. As Scott Ostrander says its best to have the chimera (or whatever top dressing) in the dirt and not just on the dirt. Its just a technique thing.

Thing about fox farm is from the get go the ph in that soil is low , ph of 5.8/5.9 kinda design more for salt nutrients … if the chimera is not bring it up soon add little more , and keep phing your feed at 6.9 , don’t go much higher then that u mite cause a lock out….

Hey guys whats going on?? I'm starting a new grow using the Roman regimen again and everything that goes with it. 4 plants 4 different strains. I have them soaking in zues juice overnight. I'm also soaking peat pellets in a little bit of Bigfoot, Dr root, and slf 100. They'll most likely be cracked open in the morning if not I'll put them in a paper towel and Ziploc bag. I'm using #4 soil for the first time and am wondering if it is mild enough for the seedlings to go into once they outgrow the peat pellets? thanks alot. Strains I'm doing are purple cake, purple crunch, Bruce Banger, and white widow fast.

Let’s talk bigfoot. What are you guys using? I’ve been using dynomyco. Why do you prefer bigfoot and which version do you recommend? I went with dynomyco because of the grand claims they make about being superior. All these companies give me snake oil vibes.

I use the concentrate. Usually 1/2 tsp of Bigfoot and 1/2 tsp of Dr. Root per gallon, a little slf 100 and soak whatever pellets or plugs in that mixture. I soak my seeds in water and zues juice overnight and the seeds are usually open in the morning and i put the seed in the pellet I soaked and seed usually sprouts from soil in a day or 2. So seed to n plant in 3 days. Hopefully it works well for me this time.

I’m going to give this a try for my next round. The wait time of direct sowing into my containers drives me crazy. If I don’t see any sprouts in 3 days I start doing dumb things like digging my fingers into the soil.

I went a bit crazy during the 4/20 sales. OCG gave me a sample of dr root so I’m excited to try this. I bought nearly the whole nectar line so I guess I’m doing Roman regime now I didnt get Persephone or hygeia. Persephone seems unnecessary or at least I don’t see the justification. I’ll probably get thermx instead of hygeia since it’s a Better bang for the buck.

I also bought a uva bar so I’m stoked to run that!

So my last run I did the 2 Gelat.og plants. One Nectar and everything that goes with it and the other plant I used the fox farm line. I can tell a huge difference between the plants. So alot of people say with nectar you get better quality but not huge yields, but with my last grow the fox farm plant was a week older than the nectar plant and yielded about the same, also the nectar plant has nicer terpenes and is alot smoother (barely makes me cough). The high is different also, the fox farm plant is good but nothing special actually gives me a little anxiety kinda racey, the nectar plant I can tell has better medical benefits, very well rounded high leaving me blissful. Like I said the ff plant isnt bad but the difference has me retiring fox farm Lol. I'm using this style of growing from now on. Whether it's with nectar or whatever better comes out. Hopefully they keep doing well and doing what they're doing so I can stick with them for many years to come. Shit I have atleast 40 more years of growing I'm still on my way up the hill. Can't wait to see what the future holds. By then we'll probably just be growing giant trichomes Lol
