I use the standard blusoak line. I have a 4x8 double ended manifold for my 4x8 grassroots beds.

What kind of top.dressing? I'm using them with Gaia green right now. Everything's great. Better than with salts...
No worries about clogs.

We're using up a bag of Pridelands by Green Gro, have used it before the drippers and had good results. But this first round with the drippers the plant isn't happy. I had mixed some into the soil (FFOF) at potting time, and fed them a second time by piling it under the dripper.
Running 3 carrots for 1 plant in about 0.5cuft of soil in a 16" Dia smartpot, soil is ~4" thick.

Disclaimer, I'm not good at diagnosing problems, the unhappiness could be from other reason. I might have turned up the light too much too soon, there were a couple days when the environment controls went dead... But if piling the food under the dripper is the tried and proven way of feeding then I'll let it cruise and not change that.

I watered fully to my regular runoff on Monday, got carrots situated, then re-dialed everything Tuesday (soil was still full wet at that time), using the 'standard procedure' of hitting the hanging drip than tightening down two arrows on each carrot. I figured the carrots wouldn't open for a bit until the soil dried down further, but I've been checking every day...Here we are Friday morning and my reservoir is still full and it looks like nothing has triggered yet. I wouldn't normally water until tonight anyway, and I assumed it would be a few days to dry down anyway....does it sound like I'm still on track here, or should I be thinking of loosening the carrots by a half notch? The top of the soil hasn't made it to fully dry yet, which it normally is when water. Not planning on lifting pots/bags because everything is seated. I also know the system is operable because I checked the purge valve and water is definitely flowing.

Sort of why I ended up doing it this week, so I have this week and all of next week to keep an eye on the whole rig.
They're 5g bags, So, about 10ish inches deep. Standard Carrots, plugged all the way down to the cap as the folks at Sustainable Village suggest.

That's why I also marked the inside of the reservoir when I filled it., that way I can look in and see if there's been any movement. I only did 6g this round (20g bin), that way if there's trouble or I have to empty it out, it won't be a nightmare. As it is, I really only have been water/feeding at a rate of 3g every 4 days for the cannabis and less for all the other junk.
Plants are currently smallish this is from Tuesday (they've actually expanded a bit since):

Agreed. I almost never see it for quite some time but the pots stay watered lol so I know it's working.
Small plants don't drink much so it won't water much in the beg stages

Looks like they fast tracked growing for medcard holders but normal ppl wont be able too for atleast a year.
When i went to the local nursery all the workers all but said they have a ton of new ppl coming in for equipment to grow cannabis. So looks like noone got the msg lol

Yea I'm no expert with such big pots but I'd sort of treat it like a bed and run a straight line of drippers across either side of the pot end to end an see how that works. Should be good.

Whelp, I saw a unicorn this morning... Went down to the tent and checked the reservoir level...looked about the same, but maybe just maybe a little lower from the 'full mark' I made on Tuesday. Opened the tent and saw two of the carrots happily dripping away (one tomato, one habanero). Not surprised it was those, since they're the small .75g pots. No action on the two Durban Poison drippers yet, but they're 5g so I'm not surprised they haven't dried down as much.
It was also a day to make some order out of chaos...
Both plants looked like this:
And ended up here:
You can't tell in that top pic that they're actually LST'ed down/topped and all that under the greenery, but they've been pretty seriously happy. This is where they were on Tuesday:
And the older lowers were HUGE:
Since this is supposed to be an old school Durban Poison sativa, I've kept the light pressure on them and kept them really tight and low. Because I'm expecting a really strong stretch. Time isn't really a consideration, so I'm going to keep training and trimming at whatever pace they need then flip.

Saw one carrot for the Durbans open this morning, though the second plant remained dry. After the dark period, I went down and checked again, still no rain, and that soil was lookin' pretty damned parched. I did dial the dripper open enough that it started to 'drop' and will check back on it in a little while to see if it's watered itself enough to shut it off.
Might as well add this. After yesterday's snip-fest, plants are being really resilient. This is what they look like today, for comparison from the shot of them yesterday...

Looking good!
The only drawback to using blumats is the fine tuning. But that's the name of the game, minor adjustment +/-
Once your in that sweet spot tho...oh boy, it's ON like Donkey Kong!!!
A cheap digital moisture meter is helpful. Especially if you have multiple containers to dial in.

I'm thinking of moving the drip-lines out a little further...they're currently at the ~3" from the carrots and in the 5g pots that seems a bit close. I was thinking of moving them another inch or so out eventually. Right now the 3mm line ends right under the plant within about 1/2" from the stems.
