Did tap water killed my plant ?

Hello guys,

my Wedding cheesecake auto started overall yellowing during week 2 of flower. Since then nothing nothing I did made anything better and the damage are now reaching the sugar leaves. I’m kind of hopeless now.

I’m growing in soil with 1/3 compost, 15% worm castings and organic soil (cellmax bio soil). I have been top dressing with worm castings and giving it microorganism to maintain some life in it.
I was thinking i was dealing with potassium deficiency as the symptoms may suggest but after giving them cellmax bio organic bloom fertilizer, it even got worst.

i had a look at my tap water analysis. 110 mg/l calcium, 11 mg/l. Is it possible that the plant suffers from excess of calcium which cause the potassium etc deficiency ?

thanks for your help.
Cheers

They look really hungry.

Start at the beginning. What have you given them for nutrients and when?

I wouldn’t consider topping with worm castings really topping (unless you had nutrients already in the aoil)

Do you have a balanced nutrient feeding plan that you are following?

How long have you been growing organically?

It is my first grow so consider me as a noob. But I’ve been growing vegetables with this technique successfully.

i have cooked the soil for 2 months with bokashi compost (banana peels, eggshells, vegetable scraps, lots of green), worm castings and the EM one mix of microorganism. After that I planted the seeds directly. I gave them some organic nitrogen fertilizer (cellmax bio grow) every two weeks and 10ml/l effective microorganism every week. Watered always PHed to 6.2-6.7.

When the issues started during the 2nd week of flower I gave her a last shot of bio grow + epsom salt and ordered some bio bloom. I top dressed with bokashi bran and worm castings in the meantime. Received the bio grow one week later and started giving it the recommended dose (3-4 ml/l every 2 days)

Sounds like you just threw a bunch of stuff in your soil and went with it. Which is ok for a first grow. The problem is you have no idea where to go from here because you don’t know what’s left in the soil.

If you want to stick to organics, I would suggest finding a ready made soil to start with, and turn it into no till. Or find a recipe for making your own soil on here. Go with something proven and make it to harvest, before you start experimenting. Good luck :peace:

I think this is the lesson I’m learning right now. Will stick to something well proven like coots or subcool recipe for the next g The problem is I can’t find all the exact ingredients here so I still will have to tweak a little bit.
I will also use filtered water from zerowater.

do you think the plant will still give a little harvest or it’s not worth it keeping it going on ?

I have been told hard water calcium is no available to plants. I have famously hard water but haven’t had a calcium deficiency since I quit using it. Most common plumber service here is dealing with buildup. Just cleaned a tablespoon from dryer hose and similar amount from 2 faucets. But use that water and boom! I’m on 1000 feet of Limestone, chert, Dolomite, Dolostone and marble.

Citric acid is great for hard water.

Thanks guys for your help!
Indeed I use ph down to correct the hard ph of my tap water (7.2-7.8) but this doesn’t help for removing the ca and mg salts from it.
The other plant on the right is a cbd fix auto and doesn’t seem to suffer too much from it tho. It is 2 weeks younger but kind of having the yellow leaf tips like the other one did.

It’s basically those two for grow and bloom. The manufacturer says 3-4 ml/l during the flowering phase which is what I’m sticking to atm. Started on Tuesday.
