Thank you @Boatguy for reminding me to enter the "flip date" into my journal. So on 3/20(not 3/15) I actually flipped. LOL! This is week 2ish. I have the lights tied up all the way at the top of this 5' tent and I'm hoping these are done stretching now.

It's looking pretty healthy
3_30.jpg

I tried supercropping during stretch. If you notice the brown bulge below, that's the plants middle finger saying, "screw you bitch! we're stretching!"
this is why you don't supercrop during stretch.jpg

In case someone ever googles "is a 2x2 marshydro tent big enough for 2 plants" the answer is no. Not comfortably.

In case someone googles "is a 2x2 marshydro tent big enough to finish flowering a single cannabis plant" the answer is maybe. It shouldn't be a sativa.

In case someone from marshydro ever googles "what can we do to make our tent better" the answer is make them at least 6 inches taller.

I also went through and pulled a bunch of the fan leaves off recently and some stems that seemed like they might not go anywhere. We'll see how this goes. You may see a thread from me titled "is this a hermie" soon. LOL!

I had to buy a dehumidifier because I noticed the RH getting up to 74% with lights out.

We're gonna see what happens after this grow, but I can't shake this crazy feeling that I might just filet this tent open so it's just a metal frame and shiny wallpaper.

The lights came on so I thought I'd take a picture for the journal. I added a fan in one of the outlets. This + the dehumidifier quickly lowered the humidity to 54%. I keep the door to the tent open when lights are on to keep it cool. I've managed to keep it between 69-71 during dark, but it does get up to 75-80 during lights on even with the door unzipped. It's only in week 3ish and this is the first time I've noticed the RH get that high.

That's a huge portal that you have the fan sitting in. I wonder what that was intended for.

They're still alive and doing pretty well actually. RH hasn't gone above 54% since I added a fan and the dehumidifier. I've been able to keep my temps below 80 during lights on, but I've gotta service our houses AC this weekend. It gets between 110-115 in the summer here. A couple of times last summer the thermometer on our back porch got up to 122.

I read on here that if you see pink hairs on your plant it means it has hermied, but I also read it can happen if you touch them. I did touch them a lot while I was putting up the new net I made last week, but we'll see. I've been looking for "Herman", but if he's here he's a sneaky little prick. LOL! I'm going to grow it out and see what happens.

I finally ordered some real seeds so hopefully my next grow will be Gorilla Glue, Green Crack or White Rhino.

When I was watering the other day I noticed 1 little white worm thing in my soil. I caught it and squished it. I looked it up and I think it's a fungus gnat larvae. I don't see a whole lot of fungus gnats in my tent, but my eyesight sucks and I know that there are some. I've decided to do a neem soak and then put some diatomaceous earth on top of the soil once it dries out. I wanted to take a few pics to post before I do the neem soak just in case I fuck something up. I'm week 4ish and they both look so pretty right now.
picture to remember what they looked like jic the neem kills them.jpg
I took a close up of one of my buds because they are getting frosty. I can see a little fan fuzz on it which is bad. If someone gives me shit about it I don't blame them. That's actually how you get mites and fungus by not keeping your stuff clean. I usually like to blow my fans off with canned air 1x a week, and wipe the blades with a rag, but I haven't done it in about 3 weeks. Where I live it's almost always dry and dusty so it's imperative if you don't want mites or sea monsters swimming in your soil.
close up I can see fuzz from my fan on the bud but it looks frosty.jpg
This is the Neem I plan to use. I am putting less than the directions suggest. I ph'd water to 6.5 and then added 2.5 tsp for 3 quarts of water. It's less than the directions instructed, but I'm skeerd. I shook it up and poured it on my plants *sigh* stupid gnats.

Thought I'd upload a pic for 420. They're doing pretty well. I was nervous to use the neem oil as a soak last week. I've never done that before. My plants didn't even seem to notice. I made sure to just feed with plain, ph'd water for the next 2 cycles. Not sure it was necessary but it the spirit of **bra science and it not getting locked out I thought it couldn't hurt.

The neem clearly worked though because there are no gnats or larvae the last couple of days. Yay! I still have been keeping a light layer of diatomaceous earth on the top of the soil and I have up a couple of sticky traps. The neem oil instructions said apply again in 2-3 weeks..

OK, I got kind of busy and haven't posted an update in a bit. I took a pic with the lights off and on. They're looking good, but they were getting a little burnt on the taller top colas. I've leaned them over a little and am turning my lights down a bit. The plants aren't super huge and they're only in 5 gallon cloth pots but this tent is short so even with lights crammed all the way up to the top I still only have 16" clearance.

I got some seeds on 4/20 from a local seedbank. I think I'm going to try the Gorilla Glue for my next official grow.
gg gc wr seeds.jpg

I also have a little experiment going on. I want to keep this bagseed plant for future grows so I've cloned it.
I clone using 1 of 2 methods and both are slow.jpg
I am trying one in Hempy, one in peat and a third one I will just plant in soil in case I screw up the other two. I'm waiting for my soil clone to take hold since I didn't make it until later, but I've made buckets out of coffee containers for my hempy and my peat.

test hempy test peat.jpg
peat bucket2.jpg
peatmoss test 4_27.jpg
I think it's gonna be between the peat and the soil for my mother. Hempy looks like crap and I don't remember how to do it and I really fucked up the PH the first week on it so it is burnt. It appears that peat is more forgiving.
poor hempy.jpg

Originally I was going to try one in promix coco, but the store substituted it with sunshine #4 peat because they were out of the promix I guess. It's my fault, because I obviously wasn't paying attention and just assumed the box had the right thing in it. When I opened it it was already too late to return it. *sigh* Worst case scenario I'll pair it with soil. It's PH is really low, like 4.0, or is that high? The number is low but the acidity is high. I'm high too. :D

PSA: this is not a howto journal, it's just how I'm doing it so if you found this by googling mmj in peat or something, maybe scroll ahead a page or two and see how I did and if it lives before you do what I do. I'm a noob, but more importantly really, really high!

I tried to take a closer picture today. I'm proud because the buds are stacking, they're still making white pistils like crazy and neither one of them are dead.
stacking nicely.jpg
They could be a lot better in many ways obvio. For example, I should've just grown one at a time in here. Even though I live in the dry desert I've never been able to get that humidity below 40% because of all the leaves in there. I should have defoliated the bottoms better too. Every week I pick 5 or so leaves off that are covering buds or touching each other to try to minimize their "sweating". I also still need to dial in feeding. This time around I did let the leaf tips burn a little. It's not too bad though. Finally, my fan beats up my leaves in the front. I a lot of this will be better just by me setting up 1 plant at a time.

stacking nicely.jpg

My peat moss plant is actually doing well so far. Everyday a new little set of leaves is coming in. I do think I might need to start adding a teeny amount of epsom every feeding.

This peat seems to hold water really well. I watered the whole plant to runoff a couple of times this week with 5.5 water at about 400-500ppm. I'm using the same ff nutes I used for soil. I don't want to let it completely dry, but I am not sure it's big enough yet and with this weak 50w LED light for me to water it every day to run off. 3 times this week, I just poured a little cup of water ph'd to 5.5 with a teeny bit of veg nutes. And then 2 days I didn't water it just to see what happened.

pete the peat plant (2).jpg
Don't pick on my dirty girl below either! "Sucia" was a bit of useless larf at the bottom of this plant that kept getting zipped up so I plucked her off about 3 weeks in to flower and cloned her just by sprinkling mycos in a little dirt hole as a test. She took almost instantly, but it's taking her a bit to get her shit together.
sucia.jpg

P.P.S. Hempy died. The plant wasn't very strong anyway and I really messed it up. I might try again later.

My little clones are doing well. The peat is beating the pants off the soil as far as growth. She likes air.jpg

The dirt clone is just sitting lazily in the corner. It's confused about whether it's vegging or flowering. It put out one stray white pistil still, but then started growing leaves. It's because I took it so late in flower.
I got a cheap self watering thing for my coco.jpg

These are doing OK. Still got about 3-4 weeks left at leaststill chugging along_about 3-4 weeks left probably.jpg

I'm going to harvest these this Thursday. It's been 10 weeks or so in flower and they look and smell ready. I looked at the trichomes on the tops and there's quite a few ambers and on the middle buds they are all milky. I'll be interested to see if there's any seeds in here. I think having pink hairs in week three indicates they had been pollinated most likely so we'll see.

These came out better than my last grow for sure. I wish I would've weighed my last plant to compare. I don't think I'll get 2x as much even though I did 2 plants because of the cramped space and me not defoliating like I should.
IMG_20220523_202258.jpg2.jpgbefore harvest.jpg

I had to go out of town for a bit and my test clones were still alive when I got back. I forgot to flush my soil before transplanting my dirt clone into the cloth bag. It was some MG dirt with full nutes so the clone in dirt has some claws. I flushed it before I left with plain water PH'd to 7.2. The leaves seem like they're starting to unfurl.

We'll see how it goes. The clone in peat is doing OK. It's growing fast. I am training it by bending it to the side. The run off is always around 6.4, which seems fine, but all of the new leaves are coming in 3's instead of 5's. I don't know if that's because I bent it or because I'm making a mistake with my PH/EC. I've been feeding it around 300-400 water ph'd to between 5.5-6.1. I'll keep an eye on it and see what happens.

OK, here come some pics of them on hangers. I finally understand why we use the net now and and I have a better understanding of what "larf" is. :)
dryinig.jpg
This, believe it or not, is the most I've ever grown. I know it's got to be more than the, approximately, 2 oz I got from the last plant. I'm thinking about 80grams, maybe a little more. I need better defoliating practices and that will make a difference.

I also was harvesting too soon before. The quality this time is a lot stonier. :eyesmoke:
I picked some of the "larfy" buds off to dry early. I've been vaping them and they're nice and stoney.

perspective.jpg

For fun maybe some can help me guess how much you think this will weigh. Honest answers, fun trolling and laughy faces are OK. I obviously am going to be dependent on the kindness of my friends and/or a dispensary for a while. I don't think it will be more than 80grams. the first 1/2 of flower was under 150w grow light and I didn't defoliate or trim as well as I could have so the middles and lowers are pithy.

I pulled most of the larf and sugar leaves off and put them in this paper bag to dry. I've just left it open and stirred it every so often. I'm going to try using bubble bags to make hash with it. I'm not including this in my weight on here because I think most people just throw it or something anyway.
sack 'o' larf.jpg

My hydro plant is reigning supreme. One of the water leaves was slapping the other plant so I tied it down again. My main goal is to keep it alive so I can clone it. I'm training it around the rim of this pot and then, when it meets the other side, or at least halfway, I'm going to tie it to itself and transplant to a bigger container....if my Gorilla Glue lives and turns out to be male I'm going to keep the pollen and make some seeds with a clone I make from my peat plant.
peat clone.jpg

Here's the dirt clone. Believe it or not I think it's doing better now that I switched to a 150w LED. It's still confused about whether or not it's flowering because it keeps putting out a white hair here and there. I can still see in the middle where it used to be a bud and is expanding now.
