Hey I am getting sick of changing out fans every year. 2 - 5x5 tents with 8" exhaust fans

8" ? I've got it left over from my hps 1000w and I use it to draw heat off of my meanwell drivers anyways. Tired i power visosun china ebay all last a year or 2 just about 24/7 on run time.

I checked out "AC-Infinity-CLOUDLINE" with their "great warranty", which is only 2 years, and over 2x as much cash.....

I know they are sub $100, but that adds up damnit!

SO-
Anyway to rebuild them? The bearing seem to fail.

Any upkeep that can be done to improve life?

Pay the price or pay it twice. AC infinity stuff is pretty good imo.
I don't need all the BT Crap on a fan , honestly. I run mine full bore 24/7, seems gimicky. Yes they have a "bare" model.

The 2x the price for 2x the warranty is a turn off, my math it's a wash- If it was a longer warranty I might believe it. Do they really last any longer, or just prettier? The big heavy metal ones seem to be heftier, and uglier = cheaper $.

IDK, that's why I'm asking.:D

Vortex fans are super nice, I also had one that lasted 7 years and was still fine when I left that place. I've had an 8" AC Infinity fan going for about 1.5 years now nonstop and it still runs like new. I use all AC infinity fans now, they are great for home/tent use.
ok guys are selling me on the AC Infinity , lasting 5 years (No returns available on Amazon Warehouse helps).

Someones got to have a BAD comment about them or you guys are all robot shills.

I’m just guessing here but are your fans mounted horizontally?
You get longer bearing life on in line fans mounted vertically if you can do it
No matter what brand

I was wondering about the position of the fan if it's V or H or at 45. I can figure out the theory behind it no radial wobble, right?

I'm pulling the mofo all the way apart. We've got an industrial bearing supplier nearby, if I can get them out, he will replace it with a match. Still have a new one on the way.

Even with a 4x4 spiderfarmer going and not hps, it was 140 plus in the tent, lucky I didn't kill all 8, other noise drowns out the now silent fan.

On 99% of , I say the CFM is overrated and underrated DB. ($30 booster has same cfm as a $250 unit-and is library quiet? yeah, ok.

Got 5 fans and 2 H2o pumps always running, I'm 1/2 deaf and have AC/DC blasting anyways, so DB's ratings are worthless to me......:bigjoint:

The only way you'll take my BT controller 67 is to pry it from my cold dead hands! >:(

Or give me the new wi-fi controller 69.

I run mine 24/7 aswell. I use a 4inch intake and a 6inch exaust to maintain constant negative pressure without stressing out my exaust or the seams on my tent. The controller allows me to maintain a consistent range of temp between lights on and lights off, along with a bunch of cool stats and measurements via the app.

I am happy with my purchase, and until I jump a few tax brackets, I will be loyal to AC infinity. I hope you find a product that suits your needs!

Buy a work horse fan like herb n suds showed without the bullshit gimmicks of today.
If a fans made properly in the first place and balanced right it will last you a decade.
Some of mine are that old and still going strong in other people's hands
Wind tunnel 6" fans here for years after purchasing used. Just a yearly tear down and cleaning to be safe. Locate and do not disturb the the balancing clips. Most of all: Use pre filtration on inlet side and be sure fan is mounted absolutely level.

Had an ipower last 9yrs. Don't make em like they used to
They sure don't all plastic. My metal $55 8" I-power is really 3 years old, the only one that lasted.
