Milkys second grow

I might move this to the basement to finish them off for the last few weeks its much cooler down there, hoping all this heat and light is upping their metabolism making lots of goods, then hopefully cool it down to preserve those goods while they finish up.

Im way to lazy to move this tent. So just making due. Im letting these run abit longer, they seem to be finishing faster this time around, which is cool. Im letting them run longer because the jiggler smoke is just abit too racy, i feel it would really benefit from some amber to weigh it down.

Not too many updates. Been really messing with the temps to see what happens, the biggest dip i put them through so far was a 30f difference. They did not like that at all, way too much! I also turned the light down abit my leafs would not stop tacoing.

Max diff between night and day is 15f now, closer to 8f difference.

Punched a hole in the larf pit today to get some light down there. I tried to gently move all the under larf branches that have suprisingly nice colas on the end, but ended up snapping almost every single one.

So i said fuck it, they are all 2ft long larf branches so i kind of piled them together in the middle, like a pit of floppy nugs. Every single larf branch got kinked many times, but im sure they will recover fine.

The one jiggler is still throwing foxtails and white pistils, dosent want to quit.

Fun fact, that large nug in the back corner of my tent thats leaning against the wall in forst pic, has really never been moved. Somehow at 400ish umol still got that big just sitting in a corner.

Its all starting to get pretty heavy and falling over, so i tied it all up. Really happy with my progress. Call it beginners luck but i think i almost got the hang of this.

If i hold out i think this will be my best light to weight ratio yet. I always dreamed of growing and sometimes dreams do come true.

you should try some Silica next run if you don't already use it.
Yeah i run potassium silicate, im not sure if thats just not bio-available enough or i simply let them get too tall without support. I may try something better next run wollastonite looks good but it raises ph real bad, i would have to play with ratioes in peat to make sure the ph is ok.

Theres also mono-silicic acid and that looks alot easier, but of course is more expensive.

Most of the main tops were ok under there own support, most of the lines you see im pulling up all the larf branches, suprisingly most of them are pretty dense despite being folded under the canopy this whole time. Its also cool how they did not really purple up when shaded.

i kinda split the difference and use silicon dioxide. used to use KSi but didn't want to raise my K values.

and that MSA is ungodly expensive like you said. a 250mL bottle is insane as is gallons too. and the mix rate isn't that low either.

Ill check out silicon dioxide, i saw that mentioned too but i thought it was glass and i figured not very bio-avalable.

I'm testing out silicic acid for the first time right now Milky, Grow Genius brand. You just need the smallest bottle, the dose is .3 ml/ 12 liters, once per week, and/or .5 ml/liter foliar once per week-I've been doing both but my plants are little still so no opinions yet.

Thanks that looks pretty good, and .3ml/10L is not bad at all. I have some time to make up my mind but that definetly looks the most attractive.

this is what i was looking at:

5mL/gal in hydro per the label

I think I looked at that one and also Power Si since it has been around. I saw PJ Diaz mention the Grow Genius and it claims to be 40% monosilicic acid and is made in the UK so I just went with it. One bottle will last for years probably, the dose is so small I had to dig around for my smallest syringes (I buy those grab bags of different size empty syringes on amazon for my additives). .3 ml is like 2-3 drops lol. The stuff is interesting, it smells like pure ethanol. I got it here, I like this store https://growgreenmi.com/grow-genius-mono-silicic-acid-40-100ml-3-4-oz-fast-acting-silicon-for-plants-in-all-settings?gclid=CjwKCAjwxZqSBhAHEiwASr9n9HLG2NaGHxEPddFey4hVe1mAsLYneaVzZh04nLE5-8YKgNmhjiuNORoCFv4QAvD_BwE
