I remember his confirmation hearings,never really liked him,something strange about him IMO,maybe the addition of a colored woman justice might soften his views a bit.

There are things like C. difficile that can blitzkrieg you so bad the nuclear options e. g. vancomycin (i. v. in hospital under close watch) fail. I heard of a regarded cardiologist (hospital surgeon) who died of it in one of the world’s best teaching hospitals. Stuff happens.

I got a wasp bite and my arm started to puff up. I was given an antibiotic to combat it. I was told that if it did not go down in a day to go to the hospital and they would give me another antibiotic intravenously. I said it was weird, I am not allergic to wasps. The nurse said it was not the wasp but what it was feeding on that it transferred to me. So it could have been some rotting squirrel it was feeding on that infected me. Before the antibiotic did its job the infection moved right up my arm and was close to my shoulder and was making its way to my body. The intravenous was to prevent that from happening. Made me really appreciate keeping some distance from our winged friends.
