So I’m only using organic and don’t want to add cal/mag bottled nutes other suggestions ?I don't think a reasonable amount would hurt but I don't remember how line it takes for the plants to be able to uptake. As I can see it you have an early indication of a coming problem that looks like mag def. You said you don't have mag added to your mix other than trace amounts coming from castings which your plant seems to have drawn to depletion. Biggest thing beyond that is you are watering with dead water. My r/o comes out of my super cheap r/o filter is 4ppm I assume your is similar so there is nothing balanced or imbalanced it's just not there and your water should be real close to Ph of 7. As long as your plant roots aren't like in the 50's or lower you shouldn't be having much problem in that direction. If I have all the info correct there isn't anything stopping the uptake of magnesium except the lack of magnesium. The easiest way to supply it at this point is to feed every watering with cal/mag at 150-175 ppm with every watering. I'm not a cal/mag fanboy however I do use a calcium/magnesium supplement with every watering until the last 2 weeks of flower. Since I started using it religiously in my R/O water I've suffered no mag problems.
this is a pic of an upper leaf if it helps diagnose at allYep that's what I think he has only in the very earliest stage. I used to suffer it a lot before I understood you had to supplement it if using R/O water especially when using small pots.
And also I’m in a 5 gallon potthis is a pic of an upper leaf if it helps diagnose at all
This is true I’ll raise it up a few inchesThe leaves are saying different.

what should I supplement with if I’m in organics I’ve got dolomite lime, Epsom salts, gypsum, but like a previous post said Epsom and gypsum both have sulfur and I don’t wanna double dose the sulfur they have bottled organic cal/mag but I’m not sure how organic it really isYep that's what I think he has only in the very earliest stage. Do you think I've misdiagnosed? Seriously interested not flaming. Been growing off and on all my life but still consider myself a student with more to learn. The leaves are saying different.

hydrokid was telling me about the leaves saying different for the light distance not the mag defDo you think I've misdiagnosed? Seriously interested not flaming. Been growing off and on all my life but still consider myself a student with more to learn.
Most definitely not. I just wanted to point out that little detail for the OP. I’m here to learn more about identifying deficiencies, and hearing experience from seasoned growers like yourself. I’ve only been at it enough to correctly identify the light stress on the leaves up top.Do you think I've misdiagnosed? Seriously interested not flaming. I use Botanicare cal-mag plus it's kinda organic friendly. Its based from minerals I think.what should I supplement with if I’m in organics I’ve got dolomite lime, Epsom salts, gypsum, but like a previous post said Epsom and gypsum both have sulfur and I don’t wanna double dose the sulfur they have bottled organic cal/mag but I’m not sure how organic it really is
I’ve used that, as well as AN’s calmag xtra which is supposed to have iron & micro nutrients.. but I like the plants response to Botonicare much better.I use Botanicare cal-mag plus it's kinda organic friendly. Its based from minerals I think.
I have some of this coming todayI use Botanicare cal-mag plus it's kinda organic friendly. Its based from minerals I think.
That should do the trick do you have a meter to read ppm?I have some of this coming today
Yes I do so I’m looking for like 150ppm of cal/mag ??That should do the trick do you have a meter to read ppm?
Yes. Every watering. I don't believe at those levels it can accumulate in the soil to any useful degree considering the life cycle of a plant grown for premium herb but is enough to give the plant what it needs per watering.Yes I do so I’m looking for like 150ppm of cal/mag ??
Awesome while you’re helping me same plant purple stems, I topped and LSTed so It could be from the stress or just genetics but idk doesn’t seem healthy any knowledge on purple stems ?Yes.
