If it’s thermostatically controlled it will take the same amount of power to heat the areaMaybe if I swap out the 1,000 watt oil filled radiator for a 500watt oil filled radiator that will reduce the costs by 50%?
Yeah it's all controlled with the inkbirds dude, temp and humidityIf it’s thermostatically controlled it will take the same amount of power to heat the area
Better to look to insulation than a smaller heater
Something can't be right then dude, surely it wouldn't use 100 dollars in a week?Ive been running a small room with a 1340 watt heater, two 650 watt lights a large dehuey and huey, fans etc and wifey hasn’t mentioned any substantial rise in bill and yes she’d let me know lol
That would run 4-5 hondos a month here.Ive been running a small room with a 1340 watt heater, two 650 watt lights a large dehuey and huey, fans etc and wifey hasn’t mentioned any substantial rise in bill and yes she’d let me know lol
Yeah it's running all of the time, I have my lights on 24 hour light and I need to keep my temps at a steady 23c/74f. But it's on the lowest setting.I have a 600 watt HID in the flower tent, a 100 watt LED in the veg tent, and I just pulled the 1500 watt oil filled heater out of the flower tent. When all of that was running I didn't come anywhere close to what you're power bill is. I run at night during off-peak hours when I pay less than 0.05¢ a kWh for most of the lights on time. The heater would only kick on during the day when the light was off and I had it on the lowest setting just enough to keep the tent in the mid 60's. When the HID turns on it keeps the tent warm enough that the heater shuts off.
You must either have very expensive power, you're heater is running all the time, or you have gremlins using your power. That's an insane amount for a power bill.
Have you tried putting a regular non growlight bulb in thereYeah it's running all of the time, I have my lights on 24 hour light and I need to keep my temps at a steady 23c/74f. But it's on the lowest setting.
I wouldn't know where to hang it or anything and I don't have any power sockets left, I literally have two inkbirds plugged into an extension lead, two fans, my grow light, a dehumidifier and all sorts of things so I would have to get another extension cable. I was thinking if I swapped the 1,000 watt radiator out for a 500watt one, that should save up to 50% of the electric being used?Have you tried putting a regular non growlight bulb in there
They put out a lot of heat and since you have no dark period?
Again noI wouldn't know where to hang it or anything and I don't have any power sockets left, I literally have two inkbirds plugged into an extension lead, two fans, my grow light, a dehumidifier and all sorts of things so I would have to get another extension cable. My only suggestion is to pull the LED and heater and put the HID back in for now until you can figure out a permanent solution.Yeah it's running all of the time, I have my lights on 24 hour light and I need to keep my temps at a steady 23c/74f. But it's on the lowest setting.
Not really but the heat created can lead to fireProbably dumb and not an electrician but dont long cords draw more? Not sure if that equates to consumption
Yeah he could probably run a 600 hps in there 24/7 for half his current costMy only suggestion is to pull the LED and heater and put the HID back in for now until you can figure out a permanent solution.
My lady would hit me in the head with a frying pan if I was using that much power to grow weed.
I bought a powder fire extinguisher just in case lolNot really but the heat created can lead to fire
I run two hlg 650 scorpions a ac unit a heater two exhaust fans two humidifiers that’s just the grow room and after all that was installed and running at full capacity my electric went up 100 dollars. There’s no way your one light is jacking your Bill up 100 dollars and on top of that I run two dehumidifiers outside the room to keep the difference correctIt’s gotta be the heater imo. I used a 430 watt i think that ran like 22 -25 usd a month for the light
