Would 2 hlg 550’s in 4x4 be overkill?

If you were to mount the lights high enough that they wouldn’t fry the plants would it be better coverage/penetration than a single light down lower?

Also yes. Or dim them. But then it would just be financial overkill unless you already owned them or have enough disposable income to not care.
