First time with a DWC

I’m a long time dirt grower, first time with hydro. I have some small plants to the side but not excited about them as much. Haha

Trying to mainline (I know about the older fan leaves, just using them as energy sources currently until they are blocked from light) the best I can but the ties only hold so well. Any suggestions on what could be better is welcomed!

Strain: Amnesia Haze
Light: two 90 watt HLG 4000 spectrum 16” above this plant.
Tent size: 2x2
PPM: 460ish (nutrients: 100 ppm Dyna-Gro Pro-tekt, rest is Dyna Gro Foliage Pro)
PH: 5.5-5.8 usually
Age: four weeks from sprout

I don't run DWC, but the ppm seems low to me. What EC is that based on your ppm scale? Strange that it would be low thought, because it doesn't look underfed, likely because you are feeding a high N solution. Do you find the pro-tekt causes your ph to steadily rise? What is your plan for nutes as you transition towards flower?

I don’t know but I am using the 500 scale. I did try bumping it higher around 10 days ago and noticed very sight nutrient burn. Not sure you can tell by the pic on the bottom fan leaves.

Yes, the ph does rise but usually a few drops of ph down gets me to where I want to be at. Not a huge issue to me.

Going to use Dyna Gro Bloom and it’s Mag Pro booster during flower. Their chart still has some Foliage Pro but will only really use it until the girl really focuses on Bud production.

the leaves look a little waxy/wavy to me. what do your roots look like? and do you have enough air in your bucket?
Yeah, I can’t get the humidity any higher. It’s stuck around 20%. Roots are white and healthy. They are getting long too. I almost can’t stir the water without it getting tangled up with my spoon. Using a 20 gallon air pump in about four gallons of water.

what medium are you using? the leaves kinda look overwatered to me. which seems impossible in dwc. is the stem or part of the roots in wet rockwool all the time?

Run her nutrient lighter due to your RH being so low. Temps and humidity both have a major effect on transpiration rate. Add wind to that.... the stomata will close, she'll slow down her intake of nutes/h20, and when she does open her stomata back up she'll fry from high PPM.
It's known as VPD. Feel free to Google up on it.
