Tight wire cause deficency

Can a garden wire wrapped around the base which has dug in and strangled the main stem be the reason for my deficiency

the 3 plants I noticed I untied and released the pressure of the wire are the 3 effected by mg def

coincidence?
Rubbed garlic on the wound and defoliated them a little and sprayed Epsom salt lightly

hope they don’t die there bloody monsters I’ve seen plants grow with wire inside them so I am hopeful

I've used metal tie wire in the past and the stem literally grew a knot around it and got stronger.

this is what i was thinking if it could cuase this effect then mg signs would be apparent as first stages of necrosis

I had some firewood last year, just a few pieces, that had 90mm PVC pipe in it.
