Russians 'totally devastated' after Putin flushed their economy 'down the toilet in five days': report

According to a report from the Washington Post, Vladimir Putin has upset and enraged the citizens of his own country with his invasion of Ukraine, which has led to devastating sanctions that are crushing the Russian economy in a way that may take decades to recover.

"Banks and insurance companies worldwide are cutting transactions with Russian counterparts," she wrote. "Computer chip manufacturers, shipping companies and a host of exporters are halting deliveries to Russia to comply with sanctions. Western nations are closing their skies and ports to Russian planes and vessels. European retailers are shuttering shops in Russia, and some oil traders are declining to buy Russian crude."

According to Konstantin Sonin, a Russian economist at the University of Chicago, Putin has only himself to blame.

"The shock is causing tumult at all levels of the Russian economy, from the largest companies to small- and medium-size businesses. Now Russian entrepreneurs with trading partners and bank accounts overseas worry that their assets will be frozen," the Post is reporting with Sonin adding "...the upper-middle-class entrepreneurs and professionals who will be 'totally devastated by this' number in the millions."

“People cry while talking to each other. … Nobody actually knows what is going to happen,” lamented the economist.

Looks like it sucks to be Russian.

Fox's propaganda network trolls were hyping Putin's giant 'war chest' and shit talking Biden's sanctions is looking to be proven incredibly wrong. So much so they have had to pivot to giving the Russian state media new talking points of politicians (and news anchors) calling for a mutiny to paint America as the bad guys in Putin's murdering of his neighbors.

Make no mistake, these assholes are back peddling furiously now. I dunno what they are gonna do about Tucker, extracting both feet from his mouth is gonna be though! This war is a highly emotional issue and their base has been seduced by events, guns, guts and glory. Citizens with guns defending liberty is an enduring part of their mythology, of course they would be smitten by the images on TV, so are we.

Im kind of looking at it less like what they are trying to tell their base, and more about what ammunition they are trying to give Putin's propaganda networks to keep the Russian citizens snowballed.

Putin's inner circle at the security council meeting Feb 22:

His inner circle has a wide circumference.

A archaic scene reminiscent of an imperial court from hundreds of years ago. Not an accident, I'd wager.

Emperor Bonaparte holds court.

This article below breaks down who was at the Feb 22 security meeting and the reporter provides some insight into their relationship with their absolute autocrat-emperor. From the tone of the article, it seems Putin holds real power. Any power held by his officials is associated with how much access they have to Tsar Putin. Putin imposes his will rather than leads.

Bottom line: Don't look to his inner circle to eliminate Putin. They will scrape, squirm and wriggle to show their compliance. Putin's court is classic absolutist monarchy.

A colonel in some military unit, or internal security unit will shoot or arrest the two guys who come to arrest him and have a talk with the boys, who will be plenty pissed by then, next they will call for citizens to surround them like Yeltsin. If they can get a politician to front for them so much the better. Vlad would have to get his troops or internal security forces to attack and they might join in and the infection could grow. You don't need a majority, just a fanatical and pissed off minority will do, they have cellphones, for now. It is always better to deal with such things by attacking from the air, but that might be difficult in Moscow.

That's the most ridiculous fantasy novel I've ever read.

The reference to Bonapart wasn't random. Napolean consulted aged courtiers for tips on how it was done at court pre-revolution

By the time Napoleon was proclaimed “First Consul for Life,” on August 2, 1802, his court resembled that of a sovereign. To determine its rules of operation, Napoleon deliberately looked at how things had been done under the French kings.

Every code of etiquette was ransacked, every old courtier or valet was consulted. How was this done? How was that managed? The orders of the day in the interior of the palace were to return to the usages and customs of the good old times. Those who longed for a return to monarchy, and those who were indifferent as to the form the government chose to assume, were filled with admiration, amounting with some to positive ecstasy. (3)
Many royalists who were intimately familiar with the old Bourbon court ridiculed Napoleon’s attempt to imitate its etiquette. And liberals who had fought to remove the constraints of monarchy regarded Napoleon’s court and its protocols with a mixture of scorn and horror.

The French press ridiculed too:

Going through online cartoon images, I can find little true humor regarding Putin and very little that didn't originate in the US.

Most images give Putin a sinister aspect. I'm guessing he likes that.

Some useful disinformation might be, fuck with America and this is what happens, a generational curse! Might make some think twice!

I know an invasion of Taiwan is definitely off the table for Xi after he looked at the news this past couple of weeks! He now has a much better idea of the reception he would receive, provided the force wasn't sunk by missiles before getting near the place! Taiwan is a power house and can make advanced weapons, Stingers or something as good and NLAWs no problem and they can crank them out by the fucking millions! Xi would have to be a drooling idiot to consider such a thing and we haven't even mentioned sanctions and their impact on China.

To paraphrase Yamamoto,"Don't invade the USA(Ukraine,) there will be a rifle behind every blade of grass (Lump of mud.)"
