Potassium Silicate?
.
I fryed whole plants with it leaves an all, It was cloudy when i sprayed but the sun peaked out ouch!Green cure burns pistil just to let ya know.
What happened? That rig you bought not working?
God bless it I knew you told me silicateI eradicated PM outdoors in my garden and yard with weekly foliar sprays of potassium silicate. Anyone in the PNW knows about PM on their roses and cucurbits. The last 2 years I' haven't had any PM on my cucurbits at all. It's now part of my regular IPM. Potassium silicate may be more effective than potassium bicarbonate. I don't know as I haven't done any scientific study. I do know that using it regularly has prevented it from affecting plants that used to be affected by it. If it works like it has been I have no need to use anything else.
You're basically just raising the pH to an alkaline level where the PM cant live. Potassium silicate is a higher pH than potassium bicarbonate. Potassium silicate doesn't have as much potential for a negative phytotoxic reaction after application.
Wine beer making stores and sites..
I've been scoping hydro stores in my area and none carry Potassium bicarbonate for powdery mildews.
Does anyone know where to look locally or do you know of a site online that I can order from?
Thanks!
