Hawaii growers strain

Hey dudes, aunty here from the windward side, oahu. doing a container grow of mango and lowryder2. i do a tye down, drill holes into the rim of the pot and then start to dye down those branches so my nosie neighbor, mrs sylva, can't see.

Anyways, what side of the island you stay irie? I am over in aiea, and I have looked for places to grow in the hills behind aiea/waimalu, but no where to grow, shit soil, shit sun, shitty plants everywhere. And I cant even bring pots n soil up there due to detection, theres no way to traffic it up there w/o being seen. So I was thinking I have to make a compost somewhere, wherever I am going to grow..., and bring some nutes up w/ me.

Yeah growing on oahu no easy deal, hard shit around where I am atleast.

Find a spot during the day and go back at night. Thats the only time I visit my girls is at night with a little moon light to help me along my way.

Or you can be totally cool like Puna and eventually invest in Night Vision goggles.

These use red light to help you see. Wonder how good they actually work. Good kids toy -

Braddah growers paradise over there! Wide open spaces, good soil, all kind shit. Oahu its hard I swear, I went hiking today back into the mountains in aiea area, I was so disappointed, so good soil at all, all crap. I didn't find one good grow spot! I didn't go into the valleys, that might be a better idea because there is probably good soil down there from all da organic matter. But I am kind of scared of feral pigs haha, (and they all hang out in the valleys) I encountered a sow yesterday on the trail! She stood her ground for a good 5 seconds as I stood there frozen in fear (she was atleast 200 lbs), then darted off, man I woulden't have wanted to get in a fight with that pig!

When I grew on the Big Island, I was more worried about the damned pigs than I was about the cops. I always carried my .45 with me when I went out to my plots.

trainwreck,sourdiesel,red diesels,blue cheese,pot of gold,widows,skunk #1,ak47,g-13,violator kush,kushberry,purplewreck,hash plant and some other mean ones. best bet would be to go indoor,if no can go as far back in the mountains (night only) as you possibly can. You gotta be dedicated and not lazy to pull off gorilla grows with success...and dont make 2 big of patches. Also dont grow directly in the ground, use pots with good soil and nutes. oahu is more packed but it can be done, i know. also remember its short season right now, would be a good idea to get a indoor light to stretch (veg) them out before they go outdoors, or they will be pretty scronny

I would go at night but im worried about the pigs. They are nocturnal I beleive and very active at night, I woulden't want to encounter a pig in the dark, scary shit, those things can gut you and your gone.

As that guy previously said he was more worried about pigs than cops, I would have to agree there. I dunno about big island but pigs on oahu are more known to attack hunters/hikers if they feel scared (cus so many ppl around here hunting them!), that means accidently stumbling upon one in the brush. I have a few braddahs that go feral pig hunting w/o dogs, and they have said that sometimes the pigs will go after you and you gotta shoot em before its too late.

I grew for two seasons out in Mokuleia. Do you know your way around there at all? Coming from Haleiwa Town way to Mokuleia, towards Army Beach you'll notice on the hillside opposite to the ocean. A water tank, how perfect is that? Anyways, many years back a growing partner & I grew there. WE tapped into the tank so we could use the water for our girls & to take showers. Yes, near harvest time we split time sleeping there so we wouldn't get ripped! You'll know if someone else is already planting there, if foliage around water tank is extra green on one side or the other.

But look at the bright side of things. If you plant now you can still enjoy some of the fruits of the 90 day wonder weed season. The beauty of this on Oahu is you're growing plants from knee to waist high that are budding! Just create yourself a map, and go planting these little buggars all around town. Manoa Valley is good for little guys too! But of course you'd have to go to plots there in middle of night!

Taken that Gilder flight before. Shit was fun, such a good time gliding along the coast riding the up drafts.

outside during the short season i use auto flowering strains like low ridder, low berry or some of my fav Little Red Ryder Hood

For the guys who want to do it in the mountains here is how i did it before i was legal.

Always have an excuse to be there collect trash as you hike or go bird watching no one will look at you if you stay confident.

1-scout your spot look for good sun and some good bushes or other greenery around. you don't want to be the only thing green in a patch of dead grass. find a close spot next to the plot and make that a stash spot i dig a hole and put a peace of wood over it then berry the wood always go in one way and out another never make a path people and animals follow paths.

2- I go for a hike every day and bring small things with me. I make a list and droop them in my stash spot until my list is done. I use small grow bags because there lighter and can be hidden. For bringing in soil I use small bags that don't look like soil,maybe an old back pack or something. then just fill the grow bags i use 7 gal grow bags so its a lot of soil to hike in but it pays off.

2 - when im setting up a spot i grow my girls and sex them until there about 2' high unless i use clones then i pinch and grow bushes in long season. I use a simple cfl closet set up and it does it just fine.

3- this is the time shit gets hairy because now you have to bring them to the spot with you and there 2' high and it can get hard. Here is what seemed the easy way. I put it in a trash can then a bag over it I put stickers all over it making it look like im bring a trash can out to the trail. like I said before be confident in what your doing and you should be good. this also is a way later to bring things out and I ditch it in the spot for later use.

4- I don't like to go to the spot much after i have all the things there and such maybe once or twice every two weeks i do like to go around the spot to look at what is going on see if there is paths or tracks going near it. people and things will leave a trail when not trying to hide so keep an eye to the ground.

5- I only go feed it every 3 weeks what i do is have a bucket (trash can from before) for a rain catch and i bring some strong nute mix with me and water like that, you can set up a wick system but thats a lot of work and it should rain enough for watering. at the last few weeks I know its hard to stay away but its better if you do just maybe 3 times the last 2 months.

6- Harvest is the scary part but i go back to the trash can and put all buds in it then a bag of trash in it. I also bring in my truck a few bags of trash to cover the smell as i drive home and also helps hide it. i have had 3 bag of grass in my truck before and yo could smell it from blocks away.

well hope this helps you guys in your fun times. this has worked for me for years but now i have been unlucky enough to get a card and do it at my home. sucks about the pain but hey I get to have my own stash at my house.

growing in oahu here, i used to grow outdoors til my plants kept getting ripped, probably from my own friends too. now im using cfls + the sun for 4-5 hours a day, i also just picked up an aerogarden and it works great! clones root so easy. and currently im growing some white dwarf fem., white widow fem, and some power skunk.

but anyways the pigs wont bother unless you mess with a sow and her piglets or if you stupidly walk into a boar....

either stay off the trail or climb a tree

i hunt with dog & knife, trap, and shoot and theyll always run before they have to fight its naturally easier to run then fight.

more pigs=less hikers

deep into the valleys where hunters barely go because i know hunters that get lucky and end up leavin the moutains with a pig and a plant.

oh boy, you're kidding right? Don't go by what a Canadian Grower does in BC, you're in Hawaii totally different circumstances! Like here in Puna, look at the picture of my backside of my acre. As beautiful as it is here, every single fucking inch of my property is covered with a thin layer of top soil. This thin layer varies anywhere from an 8th of an inch to three inches deep. Now right below that on every square inch of my property is 600 to 800 year old lava! If I wanted to dig holes I'd need a back hoe ,because once thru the lava there is blue rock!
This is why I asked someone here why they thought it was a "grower's paradise" to grow on the Big Island! Many, many obstacles face the Big Island grower. But I guess I'd much rather be here, than OAhu growing because of population problems a grower faces on Oahu. I mean how many of you can grow from the comforts of your home on Oahu? I can easily grow 25 to fifty plants on my property in Puna! So I guess HAwaii No ka oi?!?!

I am a blue card holder too. After 30 some odd years battling "OP Green Harvest" as a guerilla farmer, I'm finally come in from the cold! It sure makes it easier to grow in the comforts of your own home!

brah, you're gonna have to grow some balls the size of Cadillac hub caps if you ever plan to do a good guerilla grow on Oahu. If you're worried about pigs, you got problems Boo! I'm gonna tell you something about OAhu, it's soooo populated that if you're doing a "guerilla grow", you're gonna wanna see pigs. Because if you don't see pigs, then you're still in the "rip off zone".

what 'tweach1', you live at home? ASk the folks if you can get a big dog as a pet. I have to dogs. One pure Pit Bull(red with cow markings), and a Pit Bull/Whippet mixed. Both serve as guard dogs, and pig slayers too!!!
Learn to get pigs drunk, then you can have your way with them!

of course as mommy use to always say, "you get what you pay for" Night vision googles are the bomb! But they would be totally useless on places like Oahu in my opinion. Places here like Puna were on any given night you could run into another grower in the dark if you can't see where you're going all the time. Puna basically doesn't have street lights, and where there is,....they tend to be yellow! So visibility is a real issue here. Now for 'night googles', they come in what is described four different groups, or what are called generations. First Generation night vision goggles are just okay, you very basic equipment. It's your fourth gen night vision goggles that are super stealth. These googles earn their keep in my opinion. I could sit here for hours talking about it...but I won't bore everybody.
