Maxibloom PH 4.0 after mixing to 1.6 EC..

Maxibloom tends to mix at 4.0 PH with Reverse Osmosis filtered water @ 1.6 EC. Why!?

Yeah my well water comes pre buffered, ive never had to ph up. Even loaded to 1.4 ec it goes from 7.7 ish to 6.8.

You could grow with 5 or 6 products or just 1.

Yeah to be a Grand Master Grower you need 20 bottles preferably by different brands.

Nah but really I was using filtered RO water and tried mixing in Maxibloom and the PH using a calibrated bluelabs pen showed 4.0 PH once mixed to 1.6 EC.. I can mix FloraFlex base or Athena Pro base and land around 5.7-5.8...

I've been trying different dry ferts and so far Floraflex and Athena are winning the race. Maxi is always super acidic when mixed up and unless I have hot water it doesn't dissolve properly.

The PH meter is accurate. I not only made sure it was calibrated in 4.0 & 7.0 solution but I also verified it's accuracy using a drip tester and they gave the same result. Maybe I got a bad batch? lmao idk but holy sh*t to get it to 5.8 PH I had to use a lot of PH UP. Maybe if I use some potassium silicate it'll even out the playing field so I can do a fair run with it. I know many here swear by it, the first time I try it I get some wonky results.

So far with maxibloom and maxigrow I've noticed they are not buffered in my opinion. With ro the ph drops to about 4.0 when mixed. I had to go buy some AN ph up cuz I've never had to adjust up before. So I took it up 5.8. After near 24 hours it drifted to 6.2. So I think next time I'm going to adjust to 5.3 and let it drift up to ideal range. Will see how it looks tomorrow, if it goes any higher I'll have to readjust with down slightly. Ec looks pretty much the same, maybe close to a little lower. It's teetering back and forth between 2 numbers. But plants are very perky and some of the yellowing is going back to green.
On Dutch master I was using their 2 part gold line. Extremely stable, but I feel overall the plants always wanted more nitrogen even at ec levels that it should have been fine. I also had to use calmag even though they claim their product has plenty. We'll see how the dry stuff does. I had a grow log on thegrowcorner that was near 20 pages but that forum seems to have died cuz it just says database error for past month. I tried to make a log here but got no interest, so I'll be documenting it on ic.

I think I'm going to stick to fertilizers with no heavy metals.

I've been using strictly MaxiBloom for many years with excellent results.

Maxibloom is one of the cleanest products on the market. That analysis shows no detectable Arsenic, Cadmium or lead. Very few fertilizers out there have ND levels of those heavy metals, I'm glad you linked that. Everyone should check the heavy metal databases for each product they use, most fall far short of Maxibloom in terms of metals.

Good luck with that! Every single nutrient line contains trace amounts. Organic lines are the worst in that regard. I think it's a bad batch or the salts are unevenly mixed in the container.

I think CYCO and a couple others are winning the race though in that regard.. I will try to ask my busy buddy if he can share his last test results using CYCO Platinum. He swears by it for passing testing and also just overall quality. I have used their bases but I don't run all their extra bottles. Tumuchi.

Either way I'm sure coco coir has some metals in it.. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
